Vacation rentals with lake access in Waterland

This is lovely family home in lovely Dutch country village, Broek in Waterland, just a short drive or bus connection from Amsterdam. The house was under partial renovation (which the owners warned me for) when I was there for ten days this summer, but the fully-equipped kitchen, the spacious living room, and the amazing view from the garden on water and fields really made the stay very enjoyable. My friends loved the art, the books and general vibe of the house. Maartje and Maarten were excellent and very relaxed hosts who showed me around the house before they left on vacation. Oh and private parking is also a plus. Highly recommended.

Very well located house in the city of Volendam but also to visit all the nearby tourist sites, including Amsterdam, with all the means of locomotion very close even the bike! The house itself is very nice, it feels good. the floor is a little small for 4 adults and the fact that it is Nicole's main house is sometimes a little inconvenient. Despite these few less positive points, I recommend this rental.

The house itself is very well maintained, lovingly furnished and offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The kitchen is well equipped so we could easily cook ourselves, and also the beds were very comfortable. The surroundings are idyllic and quiet, perfect for walks and cycling. The host was very friendly and helpful and gave us valuable tips for excursions in the area. We felt very comfortable.

We spent a few days in this very nice apartment and were really impressed! The hosts were very nice and helpful. Nearby there are many restaurants and small shops, The location is wonderful, Walking to the sea, etc… it was fun :)) Love to come back!:))

We felt very comfortable in the accommodation. The pictures correspond exactly to what it looks like. Communication with Sandra was also very good 😊

Really pretty flat, with required amenities provided. The host was very responsive and helpful and also allowed us to check in a bit early which was really great after a long day of travelling!😊

Nice looks brand new, easy to locate great waterfront views

Very cosy place. Was great for a couple nights. Beautiful neighbourhood with restaurants and shops. Only a 20 minute drive from central Amsterdam. Very satisfied with our stay

Lovely apartment in Monnickendam - spacious, clean. Beautiful surroundings and very comfortable - felt like home. Very good public transport links. The hosts were incredibly helpful, making our stay even better. Highly recommended!

Very beautiful place peaceful relaxing

We had a great stay at the property. The area is quiet, optimal with children. The nearest supermarket is within walking distance and you can also walk to the beach in about 20 minutes. There's everything you need in the house. We would come back. :-)

We spent 4 nights over Easter in Rudi‘s cottage and throughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very bright and clean with a comfy bed. and sofa, a great shower and excellent lighting (this is something that I often miss in hotel rooms). The view from the terrace is outstanding. We were lucky with the weather and spent many hours there after cycling in the area or visiting nearby Utrecht. Rudi is a very friendly person, always smiling, giving us recommendations etc. Would re-visit anytime. Thank you, Rudi - also for the delicious welcome-cake!

Absolutely wondeful cottage on the water - cosy, comfortable and very well thought out. We had a fantastic time going out on the boat (our little 4 year old learned to row!) and sitting on the deck, enjoying watching the ducks and coots. Mike and Denise are very attentive hosts. We miss it already and hope to be back!

John is a very friendly landlord who always responded to questions in a friendly and quick manner. In the house itself, we were warmly welcomed according to the instructions and were very impressed by the many details. The house has every comfort and nothing was missing. The only small drawback I have to mention is that the house is very brightly lit. Every visit to the toilet, every shower, etc. of these had something for all fellow travelers, but nevertheless life in the house was very pleasant. The lower room does not allow any privacy, although this was already mentioned in the reviews by our predecessors. We would recommend the house and the landlord at any time !!! ❤️❤️

Had a very nice stay. Good communication with Richard to enter the cottage (he was still on vacation himself). Very clean cottage with all the comforts. Beautiful large garden with views and lots of tranquility. In the summer it seems wonderful to come back here. A double bed is on the landing and this space cannot be locked. With slightly older children, that is easy to do, but given the bed is on an open staircase, I do not recommend this for very young children. Or you have to sleep under a very sloping wall as parents. Underfloor heating was very pleasant. We had a great time in the area! Thank you Richard!

Edam is a great place where you can easily get everything you need on foot. It has lots of great restaurants in walking distance and everywhere has picturesque canals and waterways. Super friendly and relaxed home with top class amenities. Perfect for a family .

Angelique is a super host, very responsive and on hand if you need anything answered or help with directions etc. I have not encountered a better air bnb host :-) The water cottage is peaceful and restful and has everything you need. For Amsterdam you must be either prepared to drive or happy to walk just over 1.3 miles into the town. Its a 45 min bus into Amsterdam which is pretty regular or you can drive 15 mins to a train station and make your way in from there. We had no problem with this at all but some might be put off. However the location and quiet peace by the water was super and worth it!
