Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Waterland

This is lovely family home in lovely Dutch country village, Broek in Waterland, just a short drive or bus connection from Amsterdam. The house was under partial renovation (which the owners warned me for) when I was there for ten days this summer, but the fully-equipped kitchen, the spacious living room, and the amazing view from the garden on water and fields really made the stay very enjoyable. My friends loved the art, the books and general vibe of the house. Maartje and Maarten were excellent and very relaxed hosts who showed me around the house before they left on vacation. Oh and private parking is also a plus. Highly recommended.

Annie was the perfect host with all the check-in details and information needed for a great stay. The place is just as described but honestly better than we expected. we had everything we needed and more, many special details and the place is super charming and homey. The city of Monnickendam was just perfect for us, as it is beautiful and people very friendly. Amsterdam is convenient as well as Volendam .. we visited both. There are many local shops and restaurants in the area with a very relaxing environment. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need and was very clean. Annie gave us great instructions and information and was available by phone right away with any questions we had. One of the best Airbnb experiences all around, we really did not want to leave and look forward to a return trip. There were five of us in Michel's place over the Pentecost weekend, as we wanted to explore Amsterdam – and it was just the right choice! The house was very clean, cozy and equipped with everything you need to feel comfortable. Especially practical: There was a parking space right in the courtyard, so we could easily drive to the center of Amsterdam by car (about 40–50 minutes). The surroundings in Almere were also very nice and quiet – ideal to relax after an eventful day. Communication with Michel was excellent, he was always available and had lots of helpful tips for us. We would come back anytime – highly recommended!

Very nice house with plenty of space in a quiet location very close to Amsterdam. Great with kids and for cat lovers. Plenty of space for the whole family with garden and many recreational opportunities. We'll be back.

The first thing I have to say is Sophie and Pieter are clearly lovely people. We were late because of traffic but Sophie waited for us and gave a warm and very helpful welcome. Secondly, the apartment is a real home from home. The kitchen has all the equipment you need if you want to dine at home. Throughout the apartment everything was clean and functional as well as being well designed and attractive. Thirdly, the location is excellent. The tram runs regularly on the Overtoom and gets you right into the centre in 20 easy minutes. On the other side is the Vondelpark, which is a slice of real Amsterdam that many people would miss, which is a shame as it’s fantastic. The bar run by the brewery was a real find for us. Around you are a number of excellent places to eat and drink on both sides of the park and into the centre. Finally I am going to return to Sophie and Pieter - honestly you could not get better hosts. Thank you very much - we intend to return.

Fabulous place in the heart of Amsterdam! Easy to walk to most places, and the tram was close if you want to venture out further. Our family enjoyed people watching from the big open Dutch windows. Very beautiful location. Hosts were friendly, and quick to respond to any questions. Highly recommend!

Such a lovely stay! This place was exactly what we needed — peaceful, cozy, and away from all the city noise. The cottage is super cute, clean, and has everything you need. Loved waking up to the sounds of farm animals, and it’s close to some handy local grocers too. The host, Marit was amazing — super responsive and really made us feel welcome. Highly recommend if you’re looking to unplug, recharge, and enjoy a bit of countryside bliss. We’d definitely come back!

Margor and Steven are nice and attentive, they give us a lot of helpful information about the area. The location is near the Zaandam train station and convenient when travelling to Amsterdam city centre. A very nice and cosy place to stay in NL.

We had a lovely stay in BoresMikes house. The location is perfect with the sea on one side and a lake for kayaking and a private pier on the other side. Bores gave us a warm welcome and the communication was kindly. Bores gaves us dircetions what to do. The house is very cosy. We felt like home. The location is perfect for a relaxing and calm holiday.

Jeannot was the best host from start to finish! He provided an amazing advance PDF of Amsterdam information and communicated via Whats App throughout. He even paid my tab at the local ice cream parlour after I discovered they did not take credit cards and the closest ATM was broken. The location is perfect for a stay with a large family. It was a great place to start and end the day and so easy to get to the city center from.

We loved the fisherman’s cottage in Edam. The space was comfortable and clean. Ingrid was so helpful and friendly. We loved Edam so much. It was the perfect retreat from the big city. Taking the bus into Amsterdam couldn’t have been easier. We truly felt like we got the best of both worlds. If stairs aren’t your thing, this might not be the place for you. The staircase to the second floor is a bit of a challenge.

Great time, super Host and awesome location

The house of Annelieke and Geoffrey is very nicely decorated and the big windows with a view of a beautiful nature are very pleasant. Plants are everywhere, both inside and out which gives a very nice feeling. The garden ends at the water (with a fence so completely ok for small kids) and that was very soothing and beautiful. Furthermore, the house is very comfortably furnished and provided with everything you need. The contacts with Annelieke and Geoffrey went really smoothly, they are really friendly and wish the best for their guests. We stayed there 1 week with our three kids and wouldn't hesitate to go back as soon as we can :) Thanks again!

We had an amazing stay at Sonja’s place. Everything was just perfect. The location was excellent. The neighbourhood is beautiful. A row of houses with the canal as the backyard. Absolute peace and quiet and extremely secure. It’s a 4 minute walk to the tram station where there’s a tram every 10 min to the Central Station. It just takes 10 minutes to reach Central Station. The living area and kitchen are brilliant with all necessary equipments. The backyard is brilliant with an easy access to the canal. We didn’t use the pizza oven and the barbecue but I reckon they would be great when used. There are three bedrooms on the first floor and the view from the open space from there is lovely. The bathroom is huge and has a sun roof. Overall a brilliant experience. Sonja was very responsive and left a detailed note on how things work. We (2 adults and 2 kids) loved the stay and will again stay there in a heartbeat.
