3BR Lakefront Cottage with Wifi & Firepit

DianaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
I gifted my parents a nice getaway to Maine and found this charming private house with the view of the water. They had a wonderful time and loved the beautiful clean home. The host was very responsive and made the whole experience very enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful cozy home near Acadia National Park in Maine.

Spacious, cozy camp on unspoiled Cathance Lake

LornaRating, 5 stars8 months ago
We absolutely felt at home! Susan made the whole trip easy, she provided clear instructions made herself available and left plenty of household supplies if we needed them. It was such a beautiful location we spent every day playing on the water and looking at the stars at night! We would definitely repeat this trip!

"Small Wonder Camp" on East Grand Lake

CarleeRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Our time at Small Wonder was nothing short of magical. This was a 25+ year trip in the making to Maine and we were so please. Traci has a beautiful camp that has all the amenities of home and beyond. It was well stocked with all that we needed and more and the property was better than any photo shown. We enjoyed the remoteness and the sense of a community within the area and would love to spend more time here and at East Grand Lake in the future. Thank you from our family to yours! The McCrackens ♥️

Bear Mountain Lodge. 560 Acres on Howard Lake

ManurlRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Amazing stay! Highly recommend!” We had an incredible experience at Bear Mountain Lodge. The entire home was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay to receive the new year . The location was perfect for a peaceful and relaxing weekend. Josh and Vianca were exceptionally friendly and responsive, providing everything  we needed to feel at home which made the trip even better. The decorations, the deck, the kids section, lake, mountain, and location really made it feel like home away from home. If you’re looking for a cozy, relaxing place with a great host, this is the place. I would absolutely stay here again!

Bear Cove on Meddybemps Lake, ME

Debra AnnRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We booked Mary's place for three coworkers while they were in a job in Calais. They reported that it was awesome and much preferred it over the meager solutions out that way. Very nice and reasonable option.
A traditional New England home is displayed with a white exterior, black shutters, and a charming design. A stone wall lines the front yard, and a tree-lined backdrop provides a natural setting. A chimney rises from the roof, adding character to the exterior.

The Village House

Rebecca & GunnarRating, 5 stars12 months ago
What can we say, coming from a beautiful lake region to another this place was more than we needed. Never touched the upstairs w bedrooms. Huge kitchen to cook in, if we forgot anything a wall across the street got us stocked up. Local walking trails, the fish hatchery, boat launch, ATV/ snowmobile trails, down east land preserve. And the locals shared in our excitement in catching fish and advice on the lakes! Visited the “SYSLADOBSIS DAM” and Pocumcus Lake, Mayberry coves, caught Lake trout, bass, salmon, and our puppy swam for her first time!

'Tugwassa' On Down East Jones Pond- poet's cottage

JaneRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Tugwassa was not like any other rental I have encountered. It truly felt that I was staying in my family's summer cottage. The books, artwork, evolved layout, furnishings and clever work arounds might feel cluttered or rustic to some people, but not me. Any item you might need was present, if you looked enough to find it. The queen bed had a super soft and cozy topper. The gas stove heat was lovely to watch. To shower inside the wrap around curtain might be dangerous for anyone with balance issues, but one can sit with the shower nozzle. I cooked many meals and had everything that was needed. The number of appliances was amazing. We used the sculpture trail brochure to guide much of our wandering, which was full of surprises. The night sky over the pond is so lovely and I saw the aurora too. Paddling on the pond was a real Maine experience. I saw loons, ducks, turkeys, deer and heard a beaver. This is a remarkable true camp experience, if you are ready for that. Anne is best host ever!

Cozy Cottage

GeraldRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Little camp was perfect for me- would be great for a couple with a 1-2 young kids or just the couple. Lake is pristine. Mark was very responsive to a couple issues I had and fixed them right away. Would stay again FYI the water access is down very steep hill- just be aware. No problem for most people (or me). Just didn't see it in the listings.
The view from the deck showcases a tranquil lake framed by lush trees. A wooden dock extends into the water, with a boat moored nearby. Sunlight reflects off the lake's surface, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere.

Pet Friendly Waterfront Farmhouse Downeast Maine

TaraRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The River House was beautiful. The view from the kitchen, sun room and master bedroom are amazing. You can even see the river from the bed. The entire house is so cute and the decor is wonderful. There's plenty of room for everyone. We were working and I would make dinner for the crew every night and there is a big dining room table. We added the little "puzzle" table to the end; plenty of room for everyone. There are built in gas fire places that made the ambiance very cozy and the living room couch is fabulous. There are many special details in and out. People in town are great and even helped out on the paving job. This is definitely a place where one can enjoy a beautiful home, and relax. It feels like a vacation. We did go kayaking once and I saw a bald eagle, and that was magical. Outside there are cute areas to sit and look at the water with a great firepit. And its dog friendly, a must! Just keep them leashed as the front is on a busy road, but is still feels private.

Gardner Lake home with access and view

DougRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This was a relaxing down-east Maine getaway location. The spacious deck overlooks a large, but quiet lake with sunset views. The cottage is new with everything you need to relax. It was nicely appointed with two bedrooms and additional accommodations downstairs that would be great for kids. The kitchen is well-appointed and we christened the new grill outside for a steak dinner. Mary is right next door for anything you need. We’ll stay here again if we are in the area.

Cottage #7, Robinson's Cottages, Pet-friendly

ElizabethRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Thank you Bill and Teresa for a great stay! For a rustic little cabin, this was spotless. Very clean and very well equipped with cooking utensils, clean fridge, etc. I'd suggest getting groceries in Calais or Eastport if planning to utilize the kitchen amenities as the area does not have a grocery store. The bed was super comfortable, the mattress being so comfy. Felt like memory foam. We had a great sleep after attending the Piratefest in Eastport. Cabin#7 is up on a hill and the breeze was nice and cool, and did I say QUIET? Most peaceful. Lots of fun fishing the pond for pickerel, using the complementary rowboat on the pond, and canoe for the river. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who likes a rustic cabin experience. Once again, the place was very clean.
