We truly couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect place to stay while exploring the magic of Daylesford. The location was ideal—just a short, scenic stroll to incredible coffee and charming restaurants, yet tucked away enough to feel like a peaceful retreat. The house itself was an absolute dream: warm, welcoming, and filled with the kind of thoughtful touches that show just how much care Rodney and Denise put into creating a beautiful experience. Every detail felt curated with love, from the cozy ambience to the impeccable communication. We felt so looked after and at home. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave—and we’ll definitely be back!

I'd highly recommend Stephanie's country cottages to anyone looking for a peaceful bush getaway. A friendly and gracious host, we felt right at home straight away and the cottage was lovely and comfortable. Jasmin’s listing was exactly as pictured, and worked really well for a group of four. There were lots of great touches, such as fresh eggs, as well as heaters in the rooms. This house was really centrally located, an easy walk to the Daylesford Main Street. Overall a great option for a weekend in Daylesford!

Spotlessly clean and beautifully curated, the cottage was everything we could have hoped for and more. Peaceful, comfortable and filled with thoughtful touches, it also felt private which we appreciated. The welcome bottle of fizz was very generous as were all the other amenities designed to create a feeling of home away from home. Only a five minute drive from Daylesford, the location was super convenient and easily accessible. Similarly, Heather was incredibly responsive and quick to help with local tips and suggestions. An all-round lovely stay! We hope to visit again one day soon.

The property was cosy, clean and well thought out. There were 5 of us (women) and we had everything we needed for a 3 night stay. We were within walking distance of stunning Lake Wendouree and about a 20 minute walk to where all the fabulous restaurants, bars and cafes are located. Lovely bed linen, nice big bathroom, 2 toilets. Bright and airy, comfortable couches and plenty of pillows. Clare was in contact with us to ensure a smooth entry to the property and there were clear instructions on how to operate the TV, air con and heater and also what needed to be done when leaving. A beautiful property that I highly recommend. We had a great relaxing time in a spacious, immaculate home.

We found this gem on short notice as we wanted to spend New Years at Daylesford with our dog. It was just the perfect place for my husband, me and our fur baby. It’s located right near the shops and you get your own private access to the Lake so I was able to spend each morning going for a run. Such a beautiful place! Just be mindful of the insects but you are staying by the lake, so just bring some repellent and you’ll be fine. Thank you again for hosting us, Sally!

We had a fantastic time there as a family with our 2 primary school age kids and our dog. The property was really well looked after and equipped with everything we needed. We loved sitting out on the verandah for breakfast or sunset surrounded by kangaroos and even a couple of deer one morning. It feels really remote but was only ten minutes drive into Trentham or 20 minutes to Daylesford. The kids woke up excited each morning so we appreciated the coffee too!

We had a fantastic experience at Tranquillo. The place was incredibly clean and well maintained, making it easy to settle in. The location was perfect for a relaxing getaway, surrounded by many things to do and lovely restaurants. Rebecca and David were very accommodating and made the check in a seamless process. The property itself is stunning and has so much to offer. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, and you can tell how much care has gone into making it feel like a home away from home. We instantly fell in love with the space and surroundings. Everything was just perfect for our two-night stay. We truly didn’t want to leave and cannot wait to come back again!

Our little family had a great time at Eloise’s place. It is very well located near the lake and close to the main strip, but also felt peaceful and secluded. The house was very comfortable and its elevation meant that the windows had wonderful views and light. We found the living area was surprisingly comfortable in the chilly mornings, especially with the space heater on. Finally, Eloise was very responsive and accommodating.

Enjoyed every minute of our stay Beautiful view Peaceful and lots of privacy We were lucky enough to have both warm and cold weather So we got to enjoy the fireplace and pizza oven and fire pit The animals were fun even when the lamas were spitting on us!!! We saw eagles kangaroos and even deer and foxes so was exciting The house was very well equipped and we had everything we needed to use. Even home made treats which was lovely We will definitely stay here again Carolyn
