Cottage vacation rentals in Waneta Lake

This location is beautiful! Right on the lake. Easy to go down the stairs to the water. Randall was an excellent host and very responsive. The home is lovely and well kept. We had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect! We used the canoe and kayaks and had a wonderful time on the lake. We would most definitely rent this again and we’ll keep it on our list! Highly recommend!

Everything we needed was supplied and at our fingertips, without being overrun with “stuff.” Well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. It was a cool, rainy weekend and we took full advantage of the bedroom fireplaces and extra blankets! Would love to come back to enjoy summer-time at your place. Thank you!

The Diane and Tom were very responsive and helpful from local attractions to helping provide tools when we had car trouble. The space was very welcoming and even had local coffee, s'mores makings, and other snacks. The hot tub was perfect for relaxing at anytime of the day and the lake was within walking distance. The only downside was an uncomfortable master bed, but the other 3 beds were like sleeping on clouds! The water is not drinkable due to taste, but we brought our own.

What a beautiful property right on the lake! We had such a lovely time, the place is well equipped with anything you might need and is very close to lots of restaurants, breweries, and wineries. We can’t wait to come back, highly recommend!

Beautiful home right on the lake. The weather was a bit cold and rainy while we were there so we didn't use the outside space as much as planned, but the spacious living room and dining room were perfect for our 8-person group plus a 7 month old! Tons of space to spread out, play games, read, and play with baby. There were mega blocks, a play mat, a high chair, a changing table, a crib, and everything we could need for our baby. The hot tub was also fantastic for the colder days. We used the firepit as well and there were plenty of Adirondack chairs for our group our there. Two of our cars are electric, so the charger was a big plus! This is a wonderful find and we would love to book again later in the summer! Perfect for the whole family. We cooked a few time while here, and the kitchen had the basics like toaster, cooking utensils, pans, knives, etc. Lots of cups and glasses for making drinks, too.

The location was perfect to attend a wedding at Fountainbleu Inn (just a short walk to venue). Also, the location next to lake was wonderful. We had plenty of bedrooms with linens/towels and extras like trash bags, paper towels, toiletries, dish soap etc was very nice. The kitchen had what we needed to cook for 10+ people, except crock pot and griddle (which we brought from home). We enjoyed the hot tub and used the propane grill on the large deck. The owner stays close by and was in communication often.

The from the house was wonderful. Everything inside was clean and it was a very nice house to spend the weekend. There was one maintenance issue that was handled really before there was an issue. Everything was communicated clearly and handled very professionally. We really enjoyed our girls trip weekend here and would highly recommend this house to others.

We loved our stay! The house itself is nice, but we spent most of our time outside on the deck, in the hot tub, or on the lake. It was a little cold when we visited, but it was still nice to be able to use the paddle board/kayaks and explore the lake & I imagine it would be much better in the warmer months. There isn’t much of a town, which means limited options for food nearby, but it was definitely worth the limited options for the peace we felt there!

Mary was an incredibly gracious and accommodating host. She has a lovely cottage amidst a very private section of the lake and we felt we had all we needed to enjoy our peaceful retreat.

We enjoyed our five night stay at Camille’s place. It was a fantastic hub for waterfalls and lake day trips. We also walked to the glass museum and to downtown restaurants a few times. The place was full of cozy amenities and we had everything we needed. We loved the outdoor spaces! Front and back porch areas are gems.

we had a great vacation - my husband and 2 kids. we enjoyed the space and had everything we needed. we enjoyed being able to walk down to the lake. we sat on the deck, played games at the kitchen eat in counter. watched TV and relaxed/slept on extremely comfortable beds. it was a very quiet location even surrounded by other houses. it was close by to many of our trip highlights including the sandy bottom park, Naples pizza, red cat winery, lynnie lous ice cream and the Corning museum. would recommend this place to future families looking for a place to stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this clean and comfortable lakeside cottage. We felt the location was nice, peaceful surroundings, yet close to all the trails and attractions. We would definitely return if ever in the area.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to stay for long, we just needed a place to stop for the night, but Michele’s place was so beautiful and cozy we will definitely be back if we’re visiting the area again

Another great stay at this perfect home away from home. Nancy has thought of everything you and your pup will need for an incredibly comfortable vacation on the lake. There is a ton to do and explore in the surrounding area. Some of the highlights this year were the Geneva Lake trail, Grounded (cute cafe that allows dogs inside or out!), The Spotted Duck (amazing ice cream and they offer pup cups), Billsboro winery (chocolate truffle & wine pairing, also dog friendly), and Dean Lane Dining (no pets) in Dundee. And then there’s the magic of sunrise from Nancy’s deck and evenings just watching fish jumping, birds flying, and ducks swimming, all from the glider on the dock. Simple pleasures abound here.

Great spot! The cottage itself was perfect for my wife, myself and 2 small dogs. It was comfortable, private, and mostly quiet. I say mostly as it is located alongside the primary wine trail road for east Seneca lake, so you will occasionally hear some cars whizzing by, but not bad at all, especially when inside. The location for me was also a big highlight! Closely located to some wonderful wineries/breweries, good eats, and parks. Watkins Glen is only like a 15 min drive. I would stay here again.

Quiet, private cottage with absolutely amazing views visible from inside and outside of the cottage! The property is easy to find, with well-lit parking, stairs, and a private dock. The arrival and entry were straightforward.  The hosts' restaurant recommendations to close by Park Inn and Bully Hill Winery Cafe were top-notch! The cottage provides kayaks, a canoe, and a boat dock. There is plenty of seating both inside and out for playing games, sipping wine, and enjoying the spectacular views. The hosts were quick to respond and handle any of our questions or needs.  Larger grocery store located close by in Bath, NY to stock up on supply needs. Location provided easy access to all the major FLX attractions: Ithaca Farmers Market, Watkins Glen, Seneca Farms, Keuka Outlet Trail, and Wineries. Must-visit wineries: Weis, Sixty-Eight Cellars, and Living Roots. This property has all you need to enjoy a fun and relaxing week on Keuka Lake, one of the most magical of all the Finger Lakes!

We had a terrific stay! Phillip was proactive and responsive. Check-in and check-out were easy . There were personal touches, snacks and wine awaiting us upon arrival! The house is beautifully located on the lake with great sunrises and views. Close to Hammondsport and many great wineries. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay at this quaint, cozy cottage on beautiful Lake Seneca!

This lake house was the perfect weekend getaway for our group! The whole house was clean, and had beautiful views everywhere you went. Our weather during our weekend was a bit rainy but having the sauna and all of the games provided still allowed us to have an amazing time! We will absolutely book this house in the future :)

Wow - what a fantastic lakeside retreat! There must be 6 different places to sit/gather outside - the fire table was especially nice for sipping some Riesling on a chilly night. Well equipped kitchen, and lots of amenities (including kayaks if so inclined). Very quiet surroundings (we were there during the week-end, too), but you have to watch out for the seagulls - they like to hang out on the deck. Great location is within 1/2 hour of many excellent wineries and restaurants. Would definitely return here the next time we are in FLX!

The cottage is exactly as described and looked just like the pictures which is not always the case. We loved having coffee while listening to the birds and enjoying the view of the lake. On the days it rained it was a peaceful and quiet retreat to relax and read or watch a movie. Kevin gave us lots of great recommendations for restaurants, hiking, breweries, and wineries. We recommend Watkins Glen State Park for hiking and Grist Iron Brewing for food, music, and beer. Both Kevin and Stephanie were friendly and responsive to our needs. Our time on the lake was really special and we would stay at the cottage again.

Beautiful location! Kitchen and living room space wonderful with great views of the lake. Lots of stairs to get in and out, since it’s nestled on the slope near the docks, but we got our steps in! Also located close to the scenic falls and parks, and very convenient to Cornell Campus and downtown Ithaca. Host was super too. We had everything we needed and more.

Delightful, quiet stay with everything that I needed. Beautiful setting and I enjoyed the dock and lake despite the weather. Don was very responsive to my questions and needs prior to the visit. It was wonderful to meet his brother and to hear a bit about the history of the property. Hope to stay again soon for a longer stay.
