Tucked away on private, forested acreage with direct access to hiking trials, this charming home offers stunning views of Wallowa Lake and the surrounding mountains, creating a peaceful setting that feels worlds away from the everyday. Originally designed by an architect in the 1950s for the family that owned the Wallowa Lake Lodge and established the State Park, this unique property blends timeless character with modern comfort. This piece of history is newly available as a vacation rental. It offers a rare opportunity to stay on the quieter east side of the lake—where you’ll enjoy close proximity to south lake attractions but the fewest neighbors, longer daylight hours and unforgettable sunset views over the water and Chief Joseph Mountain. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals at home, while high-speed fiber internet keeps you connected when needed. Step outside onto the spacious south-facing deck and take in panoramic lake and mountain views. Wildlife sightings are common here—keep an eye out for deer, foxes, and even eagles soaring overhead. The property also includes its own private network of hiking trails including direct access to the East Moraine right from the backyard, giving you private access to one of the area’s most scenic landscapes.
