Vacation rentals in Walgett Shire Council

Sonja's place is as described and what you see in the pictures. It was nice to have the air conditioning and have a washing machine and dryer available. The outside/sun room at the front was a nice place to sit, especially when traffic slowed at the end of the afternoon. We only spent two nights there and were out for the day, but it's comfortable and a good location. Sonja is a great host, responsive, kind and helpful. Would recommend.

The quirky oasis was fabulous Unfortunately, the outdoor shower was not instructed well enough, despite so many instructions about everything else, and 24 hours without communication on how it worked . Ordinarily it would not matter but I had my grandson with me and we needed the shower. The place is basic but very LR appropriate. I’m a regular visitor to the Ridge and really loved the view.

Rebel and Michael were amazing and we can’t forget Rusty or the visiting family of kangaroos. Our stay was peaceful and comfortable - we couldn’t have asked for better surroundings or hosts. The Tardis is comfortable and homely and nothing is too much trouble. We love Lightning Ridge and visit often and this will definitely be the top place to stay for us. Hosts also shared local knowledge and were amazing to talk to. Definitely recommend!

Our stay at Minors Cottage was a wonderful escape from our busy lives. The property was beautiful and set up like our own private retreat. Upon stepping inside we felt right at home. Naomi left a lovely bottle of wine and marshmallows and chocolate for the children. The linens and beds were fresh and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the cabin was immaculate. Our children loved roasting s’mores on the backyard fire pit and fossicking for opals (we even found some tiny little souvenirs!). Naomi was a wonderful host and we would not hesitate to stay here again!

We loved everything about our stay, Leigh was amazing from the time we booked with answers to all my questions , Leigh was so friendly and welcoming we felt like we had privacy but also the comfort of knowing she was available, Leigh’s cottage was our home for 4 days with all the little extra touches I hadn’t expected that made it such a pleasant stay. I cannot wait to get back one day and would recommend Bagala cottage to anyone visiting lighting ridge. Thank you Leigh for such a great stay x

Ronny was very helpful and responsive. We decided to stay another night and he was all over it with no fuss. We had an enjoyable stay at Ronny's place and would stay there again.

Sandie responded to all queries, and made us very welcome. Sandie also supplied a lovely breakfast, including fresh eggs from her garden free range chickens. Everything that we needed was supplied, the caravan is set up thoughtfully, and was very clean. We had a nice stay thanks.

Really want to show my appreciation for Marina’s hospitality during my stay. The house was clean and cosy, with a well functioning fan and air conditioner to keep the temperature perfect. Marija was also very friendly and proactive in giving advice on local attractions. Would definitely stay here if I ever visit lightning ridge again.
