Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Wakkerstroom

This is a very beautiful and peaceful farm and the cottage is pleasant and comfortable. The host is very attentive and welcoming but also gave us our space. We could easily visit nearby Wakkerstroom. We felt away from everything. It was also an experience of off-the-grid sustainable living.

This is a lovely, well equipped cottage in the heart of the most delightful little town. Great touches like the most heavenly scented shampoo and conditioner etc. A coffee plunger is always a good measure of thoughfulness for me and it meant I could enjoy the locally roasted and award winning coffee brew while watching the rain. The cottage is close to neighbouring units but feels very private. Bring your own groceries and enjoy the cosy kitchen, or take advantage of the fantastic eateries a short walk away.

What a historic gem! Beautiful Just is lovingly restored and furnished with antiques. The place is extremely cozy and makes you feel right at home. We could only stay for one night, but will definitely be back!! The house has everything needed for a longer stay and to 'cook up a storm'. The garden is huge - a fantastic spot to relax. Various restaurants are just up the road. The vlei nature reserve is equally close and worth a visit. Lovely bird hides.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Sunbird Cottage which is very homely in a stunning setting. The farm offered us plenty of opportunity to explore the Wakkerstroom area, and we even enjoyed two walks on the farm itself. The farm fresh milk, eggs and jam were a treat and absolute spoil!

A unique experience in a well decorated and transformed goat house. Amenities were superb.

I'm so glad I found this spot for our family breakaway in Wakkerstroom. The house was ideal for resting and a gorgeous location right on the wetland. I can't wait to visit again!

It’s an amazing place to stay beautiful views in the morning and late afternoon. Any star gazers it’s perfect for watching the stars it’s so clear at night. The people in the area are very friendly and helpful. I couldn’t find the trail for the hike and the path to the river. There wasn’t much to do in activities around the area and everything closed early so make sure to take a laptop with some movies to keep you busy. But overall it was an amazing stay I feel so relaxed afterwords.

Enjoyed the tranquil town of Wakkerstroom. The Red Rouster Restaurant dinner was top notch and Christmas lunch at the Hotel was wholesale. The trip to the top of the mountain was enjoyable and the view from there is amazing. Take a picnic basket with. The accommodation was right at the vlei with a large variety of birds. The surroundings were quiet and afternoon walks are relaxing.
