Vacation rentals with lake access in Wake County

This charming, well-stocked home is located in a quiet neighborhood close to everything Cary and Apex has to offer. We used the exercise area at the clubhouse and enjoyed the beautiful walking paths often. The queen bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows, blankets and towels. We would absolutely stay at this sweet home-away-from-home again.

We enjoyed our stay without any issues. The house was as described and we liked hanging outside on the patio. The pool and walking around the lake were the main attractions for us staying there. Clare was always available for any questions and to give us the pool key. As others described, the furniture is outdated and I think just replacing the couches would serve them well. We'd definitely stay there again.

Fantastic location, tremendous value, communicative and extra helpful host! Great place for a family and very comfortable. My family’s new go to place to stay when visiting grandparents who downsized in the area.

This really was a great place to stay. Clearly it has been recently renovated (the plastic is still on the appliances!) and beautifully done. Just a few things to note: there are a lot of steps to get inside. We generally just had one person go in through the front door (which is on the side, FYI) and then open the garage door for everyone else. They use a STONG smelling detergent to wash sheets, etc. in. Anybody with allergies should be aware of that. There is an air fryer, but no coffee pot . 🤷‍♀️ There are no ceiling fans in the bedrooms and the air struggles to reach the second floor. We got portable fans and kept the air pretty low in order to keep the upstairs bearable. The result was that the lower level and main floor were pretty cold. Plan on bringing your own towels and definitely washcloths. One towel per guest was provided, no washcloths, one hand towel per bathroom. Overall, the place was great!

Our stay at this lake house was absolutely wonderful! The layout of the house is fantastic, providing plenty of space for everyone to relax and unwind. It's impeccably clean and well stocked with everything we needed, especially the beautiful kitchen which was a joy to cook in. The master bedroom and in-law suite were both luxurious and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after a day of fun in the sun. The outdoor space is where this place truly shines. The pool was amazing, perfect for cooling off on hot days, and the expansive outdoor area provided plenty of room for our family to play games and enjoy the sunshine. While you can’t swim in the lake, fishing and boating are great alternatives. Clare was a fantastic host—so responsive and accommodating. Overall, our family had an incredible time here and didn't want to leave! It's the perfect spot for families looking to relax and have fun together.

Furr Manor was a spacious place in rural safe area. The house in on acreage so there's plenty of space to take a nice peaceful walk out in the countryside. Travel was convenient to drive to our ballfields. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again next time.

Pamela's place in Cary was the perfect setting for our entire family of 10 (adults) to sleep, eat and play as we gathered to celebrate our son's graduation from Duke. We enjoyed both indoor and outdoor spaces. The spacious main floor allowed some people to watch tv in one room while others visited in another while others could eat in the kitchen and dining room. The beds were comfortable. Pamela responded quickly to our questions. We loved the roomy patio where we had our morning coffee with a view of the lake and lots of birds. The hot tub was amazing! The kayak and canoe were a bonus and a few of us went out onto the lake. It is in a lovely neighborhood and close to Chick-Fil-A and Lucky 32 and Harris Teeter and about 35 minutes to Duke University. We would definitely recommend Pamela's place!

We had a fantastic stay at Christine’s Airbnb. The condo truly felt like home. The kitchen had everything we needed, the living space was comfortable, and the back patio with lake view was peaceful. We loved walking around the lake and hanging out by the pool. The condo is close to amenities and a very short drive to restaurants, cafes, and breweries in downtown Cary. I highly recommend this Airbnb and hope to stay again.

I give it 5 star, it not mean it’s good. there’s no hot water for the shower. I tried many times, but it just wouldn’t get hot. The other faucets have hot water, but not the shower, which is really strange. So, I haven’t showered for five days—it’s miserable. There are two rooms. The one near the door is nice and quiet. The inner room, however, is very noisy—every time the air conditioning turns on, it makes a loud noise. Plus, there’s no blanket in this room. I eventually found one in the cabinet, but it’s thin—not really a proper comforter. Pretty rough experience.

Excellent stay! It is always hard to find a convenient and affordable private room +bath, but this stay even had access to kitchen and laundry machines. Everyone was quiet and respectful during our stay. You can hear birds chirping from the trees, there are tons of nature walks and downtown is closeby.

Perfect spot to stay the night before an early flight. clean and bright, just enough room to spread out a bit and have a takeout meal at the table. It was quick and simple to get inside. I wish I'd gotten to stay longer to explore the Greenway. :)
