Great little townhouse, all new and shiny! Got heaps of sun and was toasty warm with the heat pump on the cool mornings. Loved the location it was so handy to the market, shops and theatre. Just a few minutes walk. The bed was super comfy.

What a wonderful stay at peaceful and convenient lovely accommodation. Really felt at home with all the welcoming goodies and guides to things to do in the area. It was spotlessly clean and had all the necessary amenities. Donna was so thoughtful and such a warm person. The stay definitely offers everything for that "feel good factor"

Excellent experience - beautiful location and lovely neighbourhood with the beach, walks, wildlife reserve, supermarket, shops, etc nearby. Ruth was easy to deal with. This may have been one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed at - very well-equipped unit, good size, and our 2 year old loved the puzzles and games.

The apartment was immaculate and stylish, with beautiful views of the water. Dianne and David were welcoming and friendly and helped make our stay memorable. We enjoyed the peaceful location and look forward to staying there again.

Perfect location with unobstructed views of Snells Beach water - assisted by sliding fence and retractable dog screen! Host on site residing quietly above and very respectful of apartment privacy! - availability assisted with small access issue. A lovely cosy apartment - great for peaceful R & R! - all necessary facilities available!

Fantastic villa with everything you could possibly need. Location was 10/10, the village is only a 2-3 min walk away if that but where the villa is located is so quiet and private. The villa was super clean, furnished well, and the bed was really comfortable, also appreciated the quality linens throughout from the beds to the towels. Lovely private deck to enjoy the sunshine. Kitchen had everything you would need for meals, same applies to the bathroom and laundry, everything you would have at home was provided for here. Jenny was a dream to deal with, responded promptly and the lock box check in made it even smoother. We will be definitely be back and are excited to have found a dream little villa to stay at. We will be repeat visitors thats for sure.

I absolutely loved everything about my stay at the Piki Cottage and can highly recommend it. It is so peaceful, private and relaxing, has everything you need, plus the hosts are so generous, friendly and quick responding. There are so many things to do in the surrounding area, or you can enjoy and explore this wonderful huge garden. I could have stayed forever. Thank you for everything!

A spectacular experience for my partner and I. We wished we could have booked more nights! The scenery, the spa pool and just everything about this place was perfect. A nice getaway from the noise back in Auckland. The host was very accommodating. We definitely will be coming back! 5+ Star rating from us.

A beautiful private home that is exceptionally designed, appointed, and decorated. Stunning and kept grounds, and absolute quiet at night. Cannot recommend enough.

A great location for a weekend getaway in Matakana - walkable to the markets & local shops which is awesome on a Saturday when the place gets so busy. Natasha’s communication was super speedy and she was really helpful when we had a small issue at the start of our stay. She also provided us with a portacot for our baby which was great. The bed, pillows & bed linen were all luxurious and very comfortable. Unfortunately the unit is on the main road so can be a bit loud when cars drive past- didn’t bother us but may bother light sleepers (there’s also a street lamp right outside so the bedroom won’t be pitch black). At the time of our stay there was no microwave or TV - so bring your laptop if you want any Netflix time! Overall the place was a great size for a couple and a baby (would be a bit squishy with anymore people in my opinion) & was a great place to base ourselves for a Matakana weekend

Great little spot to relax and unwind. Easy access to Kaiwaka, Mangawhai and Waipu, but also a really comfortable place to just hang out in if you don't want to go out. Mike and Leonie are really lovely, very responsive and helpful, including in the middle of a power cut due to storms!

Raewyn is a fantastic host. She made our overnight stay just so easy. The room actually is much better than the photos. It was spotlessly clean, fresh, comfortable bed, comfortable couch and a great size TV. Very private and peaceful. Raewyn was very friendly, showed us in , and even gave us some homemade limoncello! The fridge was well stocked with milk, orange juice, chocolate, fejoas and ground coffee. We will definitely be booking again next time we are up in Mangawhai! We’ve stayed at many Mangawhai properties and this is a new favourite. Perfect location between estuary and surf beach. Mama and baby slept in the main house and couple with fur child in the self-contained sleep out. Superking bed was a treat, although the mattress too soft for us. The fire place is cosy and the birdsong so tranquil. House is elevated and private but neighbours are still close. A group nearby partied at night but were quiet by 10pm. Leeanne was a responsive, friendly and helpful host. The house has a homely and welcoming vibe . We will stay again!
