Sea View cabin 8min, walk to beach

This is a 1 bedroom cabin with a queen. Duvet and pillows. There is also a pullout sofa bed. It is a place to get away from the hustle and bustle. It is run on gas and solar power. There is no TV or microwave. Leave behind your hair dryer and hair straighteners and enjoy the privacy, peace and view. There is a BBQ available. Linen can be provided for a fee. 1st 2 guests are $100 per night then $10 per head per night after that. We are happy to provide a tent for kids to sleep in out on the lawn.

Only an hour from Auckland’s north shore, the seven acre property comprises of two separate residences - the farmhouse and the cabin, each with its own separate driveway and amenities.

Tara Valley Cabin

A boutique, sun-drenched and special hideaway set on 5 acres of permaculture tranquility. Your own three cabins are nestled near 800 year old trees and joined with lights, decks and pathways for you to wander and discover your bath. The bedroom opens out to a covered deck, and the full kitchen has a covered area with a large outdoor dining table and gas BBQ. Up the steps to the bathroom with a fresh, waterless, European electric toilet. Close to nature, beaches, markets, walks, cafes and fun.

Perched in the hills with sweeping views over the stunning Bream Bay coastline, The Cabin & Sauna is the perfect escape. Designed to blend modern comfort with rustic charm, this little hideaway offers a stylish interior and a view that truly takes your breath away. Our unique wood fired Sauna is available. Spend time here really looking after your self in ultimate relaxation, you’ll leave here feeling renewed. We are an 11 minute drive to Waipu Village. Minimum 2 night stay/Max 2 guests.

Waiotoi - The Bush Hideaway - Tutukaka

Enjoy the tranquil and serene environment of the bush, which provides you with a stay that is guaranteed to refresh you. Waiotoi is perched on a lone ridge, which weaves its way towards the coast. The cabin is surrounded by a thick cloak of Manuka which covers the hillsides, giving you a beautiful view out onto the canopy, and beyond, towards the South Pacific. Just admire the natural beauty of the coast, through the bush to Matapouri, it's a slice of paradise, and a rewarding experience.

Tui Bush Cabin

Take a short drive (approx 3kms) up the valley from Ngunguru to Tui Bush Cabin. This is where you can relax amongst the native bush, and listen to the tui's chatter from dawn till dusk. Our beautiful small wooden cabin comprises of a fitted kitchen with a 4 burner gas hob, convection microwave, toaster, jug, refrigerator and sink. A drop leaf table and chair. A double bed with sheets and duvet. Separate bathroom with flush toilet, basin and shower. Outside decking with table and chairs.

Riverside Studio

Welcome to the Riverside Studio from where a short stroll takes you to the Town Basin marina with cafes, shops and restaurants and the Hundertwasser art center and park. Maybe you fancy a walk around the Town Basin loop. Beautiful native bush walks up Parihaka from where you can enjoy sweeping views over the city and Whangarei Harbour or along the Hatea River, are on your door step. For a bigger work out you can keep going, via A.H. Reed park, right up to the Whangarei falls.

The Secret Cabin Tutukaka

A hidden cabin made for slowing down. Tucked away in lush gardens and native bush, The Secret Cabin is a private, peaceful retreat. Small yet luxurious, the space features a plush queen bed, brand-new kitchen and bathroom, and a luxurious shower to unwind after a day exploring. Take in the sea views, and fall asleep to the sound of kiwi calling nearby. It feels like a world away from everything—yet Tutukaka’s cafés, restaurants, marina, and beaches are only 5 minutes drive away.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Close enough to all the shops, bars and restaurants in Warkworth and Matakana, but with the Te Aroroa trial (500 metres) and countryside on your doorstep. Less than 10 mins to Warkworth, 15 mins to Matakana with its vineyards & markets, close to Omaha beach and the beautiful Tawharanui Peninsula. A great base to explore this incredible area and then relax after a busy day of hiking, beaching & enjoying the local hospitality.

At night the sky is full of stars. We have carefully crafted the cabins to provide a quirky off grid life and a tranquil experience where you can recharge in nature, read or play boardgames. The beach, along with shops and cafes are a 7 minute drive away and bush walks are just up the road.
