"De Gulle pracht" Holiday home, Friesland

Our cozy vacation cottage, originally was an old stable that we (Caroline and Jan) converted together, with lots of love and respect for the old details and materials, into this "Gulle Pracht". Through a private driveway with parking, you reach the terrace with the spacious garden, a lawn with surrounding tall trees, where you can enjoy. Through the two French doors, you step into the bright and cozy living room with the white old beams and a fully equipped open kitchen. There is wireless internet available, TV and DVD. Because of the ceiling in the living room that has been removed, beautiful light falls in from the skylights and you have a view of the roof structure with the old round hoods. The beds are located on top of the two lofts. The comfortable double bed is accessed by an open staircase. The other loft, where a third or fourth bed can possibly be made, is only accessible by flexible guests via a ladder. It is not suitable for small children because of the danger of falling, but older children find it exciting to sleep there. Please note, the two lofts share the same large open space. Under the old beams, you can sleep peacefully, where only the sound of rustling trees, whistling birds or your deliciously snoring bedmate will be heard. The room is heated by central heating, but also only the wood-fired stove can heat the cottage comfortably. You will be provided with enough wood from us to start a cozy fire. Through an old stable door in the living room, you come to the bathroom with beamed ceiling and underfloor heating. The bathroom has a good shower, double sink and toilet. With its inlaid mosaics and all kinds of funny and old details, this space is also a feast for the eyes. There are two bicycles available for nice trips in the wider area (Harlingen, Franeker Bolsward). We may want to drop you off in Harlingen for a crossing to Terschelling. You can leave the car in our yard for a while. We, ourselves, live in the farmhouse which is in the same yard. We are available for help, information and advice for fun trips in our beautiful Friesland. Your cottage and our farmhouse are separated by our garden and the big old barn (with pool table), so we both have our own space and privacy. Kimswerd, located on the eleven city route is a small, quiet and beautiful village where our Frisian hero "de Grutte Pier" was born and lived. He still watches over us, in petrified form, at the beginning of our little street, next to the centuries-old Church, which is very much worth visiting as well. You can do your shopping in Harlingen, the supermarket is a fifteen minute bike ride away. The old port of Harlingen is 10 km from our cottage. Kimswerd is located just across the Afsluitdijk. From there, follow the signs N31 Harlingen/Leeuwarden/Zurich and take the first exit at Kimswerd, 1st right at the traffic circle, 1st right again at the next traffic circle, straight ahead at the intersection, across the bridge and immediately take the first left (Jan Timmerstraat). At the beginning of this street, next to the church, stands the statue of the Grutte Pier. We live in the farmhouse behind the church, Jan Timmerstraat 6, first wide gravel path on the right. - For small children, sleeping on the loft without a fence is not advisable because of the danger of falling. It's just fun for big kids, the loft is accessible by a ladder. Please note, it is 1 large open space upstairs with no privacy.

De Oude Smederij

Enjoy and relax in the Frisian countryside? That is possible with us in De Oude Smederij, this was formerly a forge but has been completely converted into a comfortable vacation home. The Oude Smederij is located in an agricultural area on the outskirts of the village of Arum (on the Elfsteden route) and is centrally located between Harlingen (on the Wadden Sea with ferry services to Vlieland and Terschelling), Franeker (Planetarium and Kaatsmuseum), Bolsward (Broerekerk) and Makkum, located on the IJsselmeer with boulevard and beach.

The B&B/holiday home is located on the sunny side of our dike house, is 45 square meters, a sitting-bedroom with double bed, a bathroom and a kitchen. TV and Wi-Fi are available. Private terrace is located on the garden side. The Wadden Sea is 1 km behind the house , there is no beach , The B&B is located on the mainland and not on one of the islands . NEW……. 1. Temidden van onze fruitbomengaard bij onze kleinschalige paarden boerderij ligt dit gezellige Tiniehouse. Prachtig vrij uitzicht ove landerijen met grazende kudde paarden, schapen en koeien. Van alle gemakken voorzien op klein oppervlakte: Heerlijke 2 persoons slaapbank met topper. Tafel + stoelen, keukentje: 2 pits inductie kookplaat, magnetron, koffiezetapparaat & waterkoker. Toilet bevind zich i/d stal op 25 meter. Wassen kan met warm water (5 liter boiler) en 2x douchezak vr buiten douchen.

Ruim opgezette woning. Door onder andere een elektrische buitendeur, brede schuifdeuren, alles drempelvrij en volledig op de begane grond ook rolstoelvriendelijk. De woning is voorzien van twee sta op stoelen die voor iedereen comfortabel zitten. Slaapkamer 1 heeft een tweepersoons elektrisch bed, de 2e slaapkamer is voorzien van een bed van 120 x 200 en een hoog-laag bed. Bereikbaar via eigen ingang, eigen terras en tuin. Dichtbij de Waddenzee en mooie uitvalbasis om de regio te verkennen.

Tiny Farm House met hot tub.

Tussen de groene vlaktes van het Friesche Menaldum vindt u de uniek gebouwde Tiny Farm House met veranda inclusief hot tub. Deze grenst aan een traditionele kop hals romp boerderij uit 1880. Sinds 1980 runt boer Folkert de melkveehouderij waar 110 koeien gemelkt worden. Kom tot rust in de hot tub of neem een duik in de zwemvijver nabij. Ga met de veerboot een dag naar Terschelling of Vlieland. Breng een bezoek aan de hoofdstad Leeuwarden of stap op de fiets en verken de omgeving.

Experience a varied holiday in this comfortable holiday home with 3 bedrooms (one barrier-free bedroom on the ground floor) in the best location with a view. On the ground floor there is the spacious dining and living room with wooden floors (underfloor heating), couch, smart TV and electric fireplace. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, stove, oven + microwave. The beds are made and towels are provided. A private hot tub with massage jets is available for use.

Dronrijp is a stone's throw from Leeuwarden, Franeker (planetarium) and Harlingen where you can make the crossing to the islands of Terschelling or Vlieland. Four-legged friends are welcome! There are fences around the garden. We live 12 meters from the stay. We have 2 sweet sheep, Cotton and Binkie, and 7 free-range ducks. Please do not feed the animal.

Apartment De Dageraad in monumental farmhouse

Follow the long path along the moat of Heemstra State and arrive at the back of our monumental farmhouse from 1823. Here you will find on the east side a comfortable new apartment with its own entrance, fully preserved and equipped with all modern comforts.
