Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Waadhoeke

We had a great stay at Steffen's. The house was equipped as described, which we have rarely experienced so far, so we felt very comfortable. The kids went on a journey of discovery and found plenty to keep themselves wonderfully busy. We were in the house for almost 2 weeks right before Easter and we didn't get bored. Most restaurants etc. were already open at least on weekends. Only the boat tours start after our departure on April 19th. (as info for successors who want to travel in the same period... :-)) Steffen responded super quickly and looked for solutions to problems and always had some ready. Thank you so much! We wish you continued wonderful guests who appreciate your gem and treat it well. Maybe see you next time! :-)

Lovely, spacious house in one of the most beautiful places in Friesland, located directly on open water with beautiful views over a lake (It Piel, borders Heegermeer and the Fluessen) and the countryside. Recommended for those who love peace, space and the Frisian lakes.

Unfortunately, my own stay was only of a very short duration, because I became increasingly sick during the first evening. Karin helped us (I stayed here for a weekend with my best friend) with the contact details of the doctor's guard and there, in addition to antibiotics, I got the advice to go out at home sick... So whether my husband still pick me up around midnight. Extremely unfortunate because the cottage had/has everything we had been looking forward to. From a nice dining table to chat at, playing games, being creative, to a really beautifully finished bathroom, well-equipped kitchen and a lovely bed (I spent a few hours sick there that afternoon so I'll take that experience as a "bonus". My girlfriend was able to explore the beautiful surroundings further after my departure, she stayed there to enjoy the tranquility and did this to the fullest! In the future, we hope for a resit because this location is definitely worth it!

Super nice house! Very spacious and beautiful, private furnishings. You'll see a nice detail everywhere. The village is nice and small, nice to walk through. Lots of old towns nearby.

We stayed at the property over New Year's Eve and felt very much at home. The location right on the water is a highlight. It is a very quiet area, so highly recommended for a relaxing break.

Super nice! Ideal area in a cozy village. The call bus from Dokkum is also very nice for if you don't have a car. Owner is communicative should you have any questions or can't find something. Should you get cold, there are enough blankets throughout the house to endure a Russian winter. Wonderful!

We found our way around right away. Sandra herself contacted us directly with questions and gave us tips for our stay. She is a great hostess and brought us a sugar loaf and fresh eggs. We had a great time. The pool is quite large and we found space there for 5 adults. The sauna can accommodate about 3-4 people. We are very satisfied and can recommend the accommodation.

Very nice spacious accommodation, for 5 adults. Fully equipped, even the basic necessities(toilet paper, salt, syrup, oil, coffee tea, dishwasher tablets, you name it). Supermarkets within walking distance. You can walk 10 minutes into the dunes to the beach. Very nice to take a look at the newly born lambs and calf. Had a lovely time. (The eco tour nearby also recommended)

The house is really good, amazing ameneties, I would expected having bed linen and towels(offered at 12.50 pp), but other than that the place, house and host were great, clean and the atmosphere is amazing

It was a really great experience, it might be the most beautiful airbnb house I have ever stayed in. The garden and decoration everything was very peaceful. The host Ellen was very helpful, everything you were looking for was at home. As she was always in the same place, we were able to communicate easily. Walking distance to the centre. Beautiful house with everything you need within a resort, quietly located 50-100 hundred meters from two beaches. Ideal for family holidays or windsurfing holidays, there are also some bikes in the garage to get around. We can only recommend.

Zilverduin is a beautiful house! The location was our favourite feature; within walking distance to a beautiful beach. Leonie was great with giving us tips about the area and things that were handy like rental bikes which got delivered straight to the house - what a luxury! A few things I would have liked to see though, would be: something to handle the mosquitos in the house and higher quality bedding items (the crib for the baby was below expectations for a house at this price point, as were the pillows). Other than that, the host was easy to reach. There is also a caretaker nearby to speak to incase of any emergency. The host also was kind enough to let us check in early and change our dates last minute all to accommodate our ferry times (which I highly suggest booking WELL in advance, ie weeks, if not months!). She also allowed my friends to bring their service dog even though we notified her late. All in all, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay with two families and our kids!

We had a great extended weekend in this beautiful place. (4 adults, 3 children) We didn't want for anything. Communication was great, contact very friendly. An amazing house, beautiful location, great island.

A beautiful house in a beautiful place. Especially the large living space on the first floor, overlooking the water and a sheltered outdoor space to sit outside (already in April) stand out. The area is accessible, has a lot to do, also within walking distance. Highly recommended.

Very nice and spacious place to relax and cook and dine! The house is located between other (detached) houses but has plenty of privacy and a very well-maintained garden with many cozy seats and user comforts. We loved the hot tub, sauna and BBQ facilities.

In the middle of the woods and among the estates. Excellent starting location for walking. Restaurant and Grand Cafe within walking distance and there also opportunity to charge electric car. We had a very nice midweek there. Communication with host Elbert is fast and enjoyable. Always responds quite smoothly. Certainly subject to repetition.

We had a wonderful time with our children in Makkum! This house is a great place to slow down!
