Our location is about 10-15 min drive from town, overlooking Lønavatnet lake with prominent mountain views. It is a short driving distance to outdoor attractions such as golf, historic sites and hiking trails. Tvinnefossen, Voss Active and two great ski resorts are also near. Our 85m2 basement apartment is spacious and comfortable for up to four people.

Nice mountain hikes around Krokavatnet, Grønlivatnet, up to Skamdalshorgi, Høgahorgi. From the road: 300m to go up - not suitable if breathing problems. About 20 min drive to Voss. Water from the stream or melted snow and a reserve of filtered drinkable water. Electricity. Wood stove. Electric toilet.

Granvin is well-suited for forest and mountain hiking. -20min to Voss as a trade center for the region. -20 min to Ulvik with Hauge center and side production -30 min to Eidfjord with Vøringsfossen, Kjeåsen and great nature -30 min to Kinsarvik and Mikkelparken, Hardanger holiday park. -15 min to Kvanndal with Sherpa stairs to Kvanndals stool. There are bus connections to Voss, Ulvik and Odda.

Heggland Gardsbruk is a family farm that produces organic vegetables and our goats graze on the hills around the farm. 30 minutes from Voss, 15 minutes from Gudvangen. I was looking for accommodation near to the resorts of Voss and Myrkdalen. I hired a car at the airport and drove, Voss was 30mins and Myrkdalen was 50mins so for me ideally placed. Bridget even helped me plan my day off and the public transport to and from my Fjord cruise. I was made very welcome using the family room and felt at ease whether integrating with the whole family or just sat reading my book. Jason the pet dog was a joy but feel that not being into dog's would not have been a problem. I didn't have an evening meal with the family but did use the kitchen to prepare my own food. The breakfast was very good and varied. I recycle all i can at home in the UK but was impressed by their system. Parking was easy being just outside.

This was one of my fave places to stay in Norway! A lovely home in the countryside, surrounded by natural beauty, walking distance to the nearest village and bus stop. Marit and Steiner were warm and helpful to the extreme , and I particularly loved meeting their beautiful big doggie. I look forward to returning one day!

apartment 14 upstairs. the "postcard" view. it was beautiful. just for the view it's worth it. the hot tub and sauna was also a plus. for the rest of the apartment, there is a lot of kitchen utensils and cutlery missing. the shower area is very narrow. we were practically all alone, so the common areas were really nice. Alvik is very nice as a village and a lot to see around by car.

We had a great stay in Vossevangen! The home was beautiful—super clean, updated, and incredibly comfortable. Everything felt new and well cared for. Check-in was easy, and the location was perfect: right in town, close to everything, including the park. Despite being so central, it was peaceful and quiet. The bed was very comfortable, and the home had everything we needed. Highly recommended—we’d love to stay here again someday!

Everything was just as described, everything went well! The drive up to the house is a little adventure (but absolutely manageable, even with big cars) and really beautiful!

The place is beautiful. The view is to die for. It is 20 minutes away from Gudvangen ferry dock. Overall great stay.
