“Beautiful rustic cabin in a lovely forest. So special to wake up and open the windows to a world of green! The amenities are great and to be honest quite high tech for a place so rustic- great flushable toilet, warm shower and fancy sink. More like glamping than camping :) One thing that I would recommend is to try to arrive before dark. We arrived after dark and it was quite difficult to find the cabin/figure out how to open the gate/not be eaten by bugs in the process.”
Come and enjoy our beautiful accommodation where you can be in counting on nature and where you can take a swim in the celestial river that is located just 100 meters from our rooms and you can also taste typical dishes
“We thought this place would be a bit run down, and were pleasantly surprised with how clean and well attended to it was for a place in the hills. Great Tico breakfast. Communicated mostly in our broken Spanish, but never seemed to present any challenges. Walked 8 minutes to rio Celeste waterfall trail, and then walked from our cabin a few hundred feet to the well maintained swimming hole Alexander has out in on the river there.”
It is a house completely made of wood, with natural lighting, surrounded by trees, large windows and beautiful views on all sides. You feel the smell of cedar and you can be barefoot enjoying the contact with the wood. You can hear countless birds and almost every day you can see monkeys and other wild animals, from the windows.
“WOW!! I have to say, if you want a rustic, small farm town, true Costa Rican experience I highly recommend staying here! Listen to all the tips Hernan has, in terms of stopping at a super market and taking the right road for 2x2 vehicles. We went in a little Honda and didn’t make it the way maps took us and had to go around, but Katia was patiently waiting for us. The tour with the neighbor and horseback riding is highly recommend, it’s like no other horseback riding you’ll ever do & he takes you to a secret waterfall and tours his beautiful little family farm. We were able to see various monkeys, birds and livestock (including a one day old calf). The cabin itself is gorgeous but fair warning keep all bright lights off at night as there are many bugs (big ones) and it can be kind of frightening. The wind was strong our second night so I didn’t sleep well as the food is tin but otherwise all the basics are there and the cabin is just in awe. When we come back to Costa Rica, we will stay here again. Beautiful place with real wholesome people around!! Also the sunset over the valley, beats any ocean sunset, it’s absolutely GORGEOUS! Thank you so much for this experience in which we will forever cherish. I will recommend anyone to come here! A true hidden gem. PURAVIDA!”
