Casa dos Figos is no ordinary Airbnb. It's a lovingly restored home, rebuilt from rubble, which is helping to breathe life back into an abandoned village. It has everything you need to retreat from the busyness of modern life - a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, a lovely bathroom - and return to more simple pleasures: walks through the olive groves, dips in the river, sunset or storm-watching from the veranda. The view from the back of the house has no other human habitation in sight. Aida's story, and the story of Pallas is incredibly special and beautiful to play a part in. ninho do melro es un casa rural prepared for family use. We thank and value that it does not have the impersonal decoration of all the airbnb apartments. The wood home works perfect, good firewood and tools are supplied to light it. The rooms have electric heaters that soon leave them in a good temperature to sleep. Also the mattresses, blankets and pillows are comfortable and sufficient. The welcome is warm and friendly with good directions to get to know the area. We forgot some electronic gadgets in the house and they offered to send them to us for free at home. Bragança is beautiful and interesting. We'll be back!

One of the best experiences I've had with AirBnB. Very interesting house, rustic but with the necessary amenities. Cozy, clean spaces. The reception by D. Cândida, already with the fireplaces lit and a beautiful homemade bread, made it worth the trip. The decor of the house still has a few very interesting traditional items. The only difficulty we had was having a mobile connection (either by wifi or mobile data), but it resulted in this difficulty being a good ingredient in the stay, as no one even picked it up on the phone and forced the greatest coexistence. Recommended stay, while thanking Joana for her good hospitality.

The house is ideal for nature lovers! It is very cool inside and has all the necessary equipment for a comfortable stay. The river below is perfect for cooling off and other spots are within walking or driving distance by the road that passes in front of the house (little traffic, mainly farmers and locals who are very warm). We would have stayed much longer!

The house was even more beautiful than expected and cleaned to a wonderful standard. The place felt homely and spacious with enough amenities provided ie towels, kitchen utensils, food items etc. Pool and grounds were well kept by Fernando who helped us out with some queries during the week. The ruins on the property have the place an authentic and rustic feel. This is the perfect spot to get away from it all for some peace and quiet in the beautiful countryside.

This property is simply WONDERFUL. It's perfect for disconnecting and relaxing, in a beautiful setting. The house has everything you might need, and the outside is unbeatable.
