House vacation rentals in Vik

Our family of six adults really enjoyed spending Christmas and New Year's at Bjork's place. It was warm and cozy, with underfloor heating keeping the slate tiles toasty, a big couch in the living room, and lots of windows to enjoy the views. The hot tub was amazing and we had stunning northern lights one night. The house is in a gated community a couple km off the road, and this road can be slippery, so a 4x4 car or jeep might be a good idea in winter. These same quiet roads were great for walks - not much traffic and wonderful views in any direction you choose to walk. The trash/recycling center handled all sorts of materials - even organics! Bjork was really helpful, going above and beyond to check out holiday hours for grocery stores and help us locate jumper cables. The house is a 15 minute drive to Selfoss (shoutout to Kronan) and 8 minutes to Kerid Crater. Hveragerdi is 20 minutes, with a wonderful bakery, a geopark where for a small fee you can boil an egg in a hot spring.

We make a family trip and it was the best place for stay those days! Peaceful environment, the house was super clean and completely prepared with everything! You just need go and relax. Lovely and cozy house :)

I definitely recommend this beautiful and cozy cottage with a thermal pool, surrounded by beautiful Icelandic nature. The owners were always very friendly and helpful 😊

Great location, close to the golden circle. We were able to see the northern lights right at backyard. The two cats are cute and friendly. Sigmar was very responsive!

The luxury villa was all we could ask for and more. The location is fantastic right across from Kerid crater and easy access to all the hot spots. The villa is nicely appointed with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was magnificent! My only advice would be to allow the outside motion light the ability to be shut off. We woke up at midnight both nights to see the northern lights but the lights out front kept coming on. Would be great if they could be shut off for optimal viewing. Otherwise everything was fantastic and I highly recommend this villa!!

This place is great! Very cozy and close to the golden circle and Selfoss, which has great restaurants! We especially enjoyed the cozy vibe of the interior furniture and kitchen. We also really enjoyed the hot tub and cold plunge combo. Magnús was really responsive when we had questions, and even got on the phone to walk us through how to fill the hot tub and turn off the lights so we could better view the aurora!

If you are looking for peaceful surroundings with a never ending view this is it! The accommodations were comfy, clean and beautiful. I could have spent weeks! Great location to venture around the south coast. Vik is close for shopping and eating destination. The landscape and adventures are limitless.

This house is truly a gem - so cozy, clean, and beautifully designed and decorated. We loved the location - away from the city yet still convienient to Selfoss and other sites in the south of Iceland. From the moment we walked in the door, we felt at home. After long days of driving and exploring, we looked forward to returning and settling in for the evening. We feel Margrét is a 5-star super host! She was always responsive and communicative and provided many wonderful recommendations for both restaurants and interesting sites to visit. We think this is the best AirBNB we have ever stayed in and look forward to a return trip to Iceland and to Margrét's place.

Great place to be when exploring the South Coast. The cabin is in a hill and thoughtfully decorated. It snowed while we were there and the space made us feel at home. We were able to cook our breakfast with a beautiful panoramic view. The bonus is petting their horses. Overall, an amazing experience! Highly recommended!

We were absolutely amazed when we walk in to the house. Hjordis’s house is even nicer than in to the photos! House was very stylish, clean and cozy and with all little details which were waiting there for us we were really amazed. There were also provided everything you should need during your stay here. Also instructions was very clear so we didn’t have a problem with anything. It was also great location for our shorter Icelandic trip and we catch everything we wanted to see from there.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The place is so cute and the horses are a bonus! They were so sweet! We even got to see the lights! We would definitely come back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Anton provided very clear and descriptive directions to the airbnb and we had no trouble finding it. Apple maps often reports roads as closed when they are not, but we messaged Anton and he was very quick to answer all our questions! The roads were very easy to drive on. The Old Farmhouse was a beautiful home with very peaceful, gorgeous scenery. We had 6 people and it was more than enough space for everyone. There were books, games, and a collection of movies for entertainment. It honestly made us all feel very at home and we would definitely stay again.

Nice place to stay with plenty to see around! I worked remotely here and enjoyed the kitties daily visits on the back porch! In unit laundry was wonderful and having all the appliances I needed- kettle, microwave! Thanks for the great stay!

Great place with lovely views

We spent three nights in a very nice accommodation close to many sites. It is very well equipped, quiet and we were able to see the northern lights from the sofa through the living room windows. We highly recommend this accommodation! Thank you for the hospitality and ideas for nearby visits!

This house was perfect. The hostesses met us when we arrived, gave us instructions on things they wanted us to make sure we knew (for safety and such due to the temperatures), and spent around 2 hours giving us a tour and history of the house. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed and they were so thoughtful with all of their recommendations for activities with our children. We 100% recommend this house to others and we will be coming back in the future!

Burma’s beautiful home is ideal for anyone who wants two bathrooms (hard to find in Iceland) and plenty of space. It’s in a quaint small town very close to the Golden Circle and not far from Selfoss, which has more substantial amenities. Easy drive to Gullfoss and Geysir, and a small grocery is within walking distance of the house. The views from the sunroom are beautiful. The kitchen is modern, functional, and spacious. The outdoor area, including the hot tub, is wonderful in the evening. The nearby restaurants, including those in Reykholt, are wonderful! We highly recommend this place for people who want extra space and don’t want to stay in the busy capital city. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!
