The host was very polite and responsive. The location was amazing. We found everything we expected and had a great time in the cottage.

This was our second stay there and found four more days woth of new and exciting adventures in the area. We highly recommend a day trip to see and hike both Gluggafoss and Stora Dimon in a day, drive to the Reykjadalur thermal river, explore Selfoss and even drive to Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. The pool in Hvolsvöllur is a great way to relax and meet people. You will love this place!

I booked Emma and Oskars place for clients of mine, they were very happy, communication was great, I can well recommend.

It was incredible to have so much space on our trip. The kitchen was well appointed and we were able to cook our own meals without issue. The hot tub was a great bonus! My only gripes were the tight bathroom, non functioning TV, and no ice cube tray (minor, I know). Overall would highly recommend!

Beautiful cottage, with a lot of love for detail and cozily furnished - it has everything you need and Sabine as a host is super nice and proactive. We were recommended great excursion destinations and restaurants and also enjoyed the ride offered by Sabine very much! We really liked the tranquility, the Icelanders right in front of the hut, the great view and the coziness and we had a wonderful 4 nights here. Definitely a big recommendation from us! We would also like to come back ourselves!!!

The barn house was beautifully built and decorated with spectacular views. The skylight windows were perfect for watching for the northern lights. The kitchen had all the basics and some extras like a nespresso machine and pods. We enjoyed cooking there and using the hot tub. The washer and dryer were super helpful. It was a great launching place for the Golden Circle. Stokkseyri is a cute little town with a great local pool. The turf house across the street was fun to explore as was the beach on the other side of the turf wall. It is very near Bakkahestar for highly recommended Icelandic horse rides with a local couple on the beach in Eyrarbakki. Nearby Selfoss has anything you need including an amazing fish market Fiskbud Suderlands for great prices on fresh caught local fish. Kristinn was very responsive and we loved our stay!

Amazing little cottage, that we really enjoyed to stay in for 6 days. Saw amazing northern light and had peace and quiet just like We wanted. Close to all the stuff We value and love about Iceland: Golden Circle, horses, nature and the sea 😍😍😍 Friða ís always responsive in case of questions and that was amazing ❤️❤️

Very nice farm house with sunset view, we had a good time!

Centrally located between Selfoss and Eyrarbakki. Good kitchen supplies. Would love to stay again sometime. Communicate with the owner prior to your visit so they can adjust the in floor heating to your liking. Selfoss has a nice public pool. Good for a hot soak. 😁 If you ride, get a lesson with on one of their Icelandic horses. So different than the "tail-to-tail" rides of tourist tours. They can take expert riders to the beach. Keep in mind that their horses are EXTREMELY responsive

Our group had an incredible stay! The location was the perfect balance of being wonderfully remote, offering peace and quiet, yet still conveniently close to several attractions. We loved coming back from a day of exploring, knowing we could unwind in such a serene setting. The property had everything we needed, including a fully equipped laundry, which made our stay so much easier. One of the highlights was being able to see the Northern Lights right from the property—an absolutely magical experience! We couldn’t have asked for a better spot and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation.

Sofia’s cottage was so cozy and peaceful. It was probably my favorite place that I stayed at during my south coast trip. It was clean, had all the essentials, and actually seemed newer than what I saw from the pictures. I wasn’t lucky enough to see them during my stay(too cloudy), but the location of the cottage is ideal for the northern lights! I would definitely stay here again!

Quiet and pleasant place

This home looks tiny on the outside but was perfect on the inside for our group of 4. Louise was very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay. Our horse-loving young girls would add that our stay was way too short because they really did not want to leave!

Amazing, amazing and one more time - amazing!! The house is beautiful, you can feel that the owners are artsy, as architect I loved it. I lived in Iceland and wanted to show the country to my friends from the best side so I was looking for a special place to accommodate, close to the most important attractions. It was a perfect choice! I am just amazed by the house, hot tub and location. Sonja is the best host ever! She even did the groceries for us as we were landing very late during the New Year’s Eve when many supermarkets were closed. She was answering my questions, she helped us with the lighting around hot tub. The place is also amazing for Aurora chasing! We stayed there 3 nights and we saw northern lights 2 times from the garden. The house was just perfect for the group of 8, well equipped kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. Takk fyrir Sonja 💖

Steinn’s place is absolutely beautiful and perfectly located — it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere, yet it’s only a short drive from Selfoss and many amazing attractions along Iceland’s southern coast. It’s a great base for exploring the area. The house itself is stunning. The large windows perfectly frame the scenery all around. Even though it’s close to a road, the property feels very private and well-hidden. It truly felt like our own peaceful retreat. One of the highlights was catching the Northern Lights right from the house! Being away from any light pollution made it the perfect spot for watching the aurora. The house is also incredibly well-equipped — it had everything we needed, making it feel like a cozy home away from home. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Iceland!

Elsa's house is the perfect place to stay while exploring the golden circle and south of Iceland. The house is very cosy but definitely not too small for a family of five, well equipped and in walking distance from the beach. The hot tub is just amazing and also has a really great view. We stayed for a week and enjoyed every minute of it.

Our stay was perfect. The cabin was great and exactly as shown in the pictures. The place was clean and the kitchen was well stocked with appliances for a small kitchen. Eggert was quick to respond and check-in was easy and smooth. Great overall experience and would definitely recommend this place.

What a brilliant find these Cabins were for our 1st visit to this beautiful country. We booked as a family of 6, hiring two cars from the airport, to explore the Golden Circle. Arni the host communicated well with brilliant directions and instructions upon our arrival at the Cabins. The scenery around the Cabins were stunning, next to a lake. We were also fortunate to be able to clearly watch the wonders of the Northern Lights over two evening. As a family of 6 - 4 being young adults, we hired all 3 Cabins. They were perfect, clean and homely with all the amenities you would need. It was a wonderful base for us to explore this beautiful south coast of the country. We would Highly recommend hirering these cabins to use as a base if you are planning your own itinery during your visit. Selfoss is not too far so we were able to purchase a small shop from the local supermarket for food during our stay. . Thank you Arni & Family

This house was perfect - great location for outdoor activities. Saw the Northern Lights from our windows. Right in the middle of the Golden Circle so great location for us. Very private, very quiet. Had everything we needed. I would recommend this location to anyone who prefers outdoor activities versus city life.

Had a fantastic stay at Gunnar's cottage. Everything we needed was at hand in the cottage. It was warm and cozy and and perfect for relaxing in the evening. We used the hot tub a couple of times and it was great. Managed to see the northern lights during our stay and it's a perfect location for seeing them and travelling around the Golden circle. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay in this perfect little cabin. Small and cozy but for 2 people was just great, beautiful beautiful setting right outside of town. Perfect to see most amazing northern lights and went on excellent hikes.
