Family-friendly vacation rentals in Vieques

We loved the downstairs area to hang out, play pool, cook and swim! It was nice and cold upstairs and with many ac units. There were 5 of us and it was just right!

I can't say enough about how absolutely beautiful this property is. Coming down the driveway feels like you're entering a private botanical garden. Just gorgeous. The house had everything our family of 6 needed. Beach chairs, coolers, plenty of space and lots of cute, friendly pets wandering around. The kids just loved petting the kitties and doggies. Hector and Kim are so friendly but still give you your privacy. The location is stellar. You really feel like you're super removed from the hustle and bustle but you're only 25 min from the airport, 15 min from El Yunque and 10 min from a great beach with beach bars and restaurants. Comfy beds, awesome kitchen space, great a/c! Book it now! We didn't want to leave.

Miguel was always very responsive and helpful. He had an amazing home with loving neighbors and the outside patio where the pool, grill table and lounge chairs was very clean. Very spacious to have great time with your family and friends. 5stars all around. Really great guy. It’s no wonder why he is a rare find.

Quiet neighborhood that felt safe. Jose’s home was really spacious and the patio was beautiful out back with great views of lush greenery. Places to walk out back. Sleeping was comfortable for the 10 of us that were there. What a great big TV room upstairs and when you open the shutters it was just beautiful. All in all we found the home very nice and relaxing and the location was convenient to San Juan. Some in our group made the trip to the city a couple of times. It rained off and on during our stay, as it often does in the rainforest, but even that looked beautiful under cover of the patio. The community pool is close by, and is nice and large, but I do have to say that it wasn’t that clean on the day we went. Jose was a very responsive and communicative host from time of booking till we left. We had some questions while we were there and he answered almost instantly every time. Thank you Jose for providing a good place for our family to have time together.

We have jointly stayed at a few air bnbs, but not a single one can compare to the quality and hospitality of this one. Tom was an outstanding host who helped us get to know the area and made sure we had everything we needed. His home is beautiful and he maintains it as such. Beautiful view, great location, comfy bed, perfect everything.

The Happy Yellow Beach house was everything we needed! It was a great location for us to explore Puerto Rico! The home provided all the amenities and space we needed for 6 adults. The pool, hot tub and outdoor spaces were great! We would definitely come back!

This airbnb is exceptional. It has above and beyond amenities/stock like tin foil, sunscreen, beach towels, umbrella, beach game. Additionally- the views are wonderful, the ac works and the bed is comfy! Literally my only note for the whole place is that the pillows are intensely stuffed and for someone with neck problems this posed a difficulty for me- this is minor, but just wanted to note it. I hope to stay here again! I read reviews that said grocery store, etc was walkable and while this is true- I thought it would be helpful to know that the grocery and walgreens are across a pretty busy highway like road- so we drove even though it is right across the street. Luquillo which is walkable (by beach or street) or a short drive had restaurants, coffeeshops, breakfast, etc.

We had an awesome time staying here during our trip to Puerto Rico. The host was super friendly and stayed in touch the whole time, which really made things easy. The house was perfect—comfortable, clean, and the pool was a great bonus. It being in a gated community was perfect! The view was amazing, and there were plenty of great restaurants close by. Everything about the stay was smooth and enjoyable. We'd definitely come back again!

It was a great place to stay. Beach was right across the street, many local restaurants to grab a bite to eat. Walgreens was a two minute walk and La Placita only a 10 minute drive away from the complex. I would 10/10 recommend this place to stay and I will stay again.

Our stay in Cubuy at Samuel’s place was truly magical. The space was clean, peaceful, and immersed in the natural beauty of the rainforest. We especially loved falling asleep to the calming sound of the coquí at night—it was like nature’s lullaby. Exploring the surrounding farm and rainforest was a highlight of our trip, and the friendly resident cat added an extra touch of warmth with its sweet snuggles. One of my unexpected favorite parts was the simple pleasure of hang-drying our clothes in the fresh mountain air—the scent was amazing and really brought me into the rhythm of the place. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed for cooking, which made us feel completely at home. Every detail of the stay felt intentional and grounded in nature. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path retreat.

Provided address, key code and WiFi prior to our arrival making it easy to request Uber from the airport and readily access our room upon arrival. 24/7 security and attendant at front desk. Historic fort site right across from our balcony. Nice beds. Nice shower. Great A/C. Conveniently located right upstairs of the pool. Walkable to 2 nearby beaches. Condado beach is a little further down Ashford Avenue yet still walkable. Snorkeling right in front of building with lots of tropical fish, starfish and turtles. Easy Uber access pick-up/drop-off steps away by the Caribe Hilton. Definitely a nice unit and wonderful stay. Thank you Wandy and Hernan for making us feel welcomed and checking in to be sure we were enjoying our stay.

Cyrus's place is in the heart of Old San Juan with plenty of things to do within walking distance. The street noise was not as big of an issue as I was afraid of. The fans help block out the vast majority of the street noise. Air Conditioners blew cold air and everything was as advertised.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful vacation rental! The home was not only stunning and well-decorated but also thoughtfully planned out with everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location was great right on the beach with gorgeous views and easy access to the water. It was also super convenient to get around, as I was able to quickly Uber to different spots with no problem. Highly recommend this place.

Great place to stay. Amber was super. Allowed us to check in early and was very helpful with questions we had. Great location. The place had everything we needed. I really appreciated the snorkel gear and outdoor shower. Highly recommended.

This was my first visit to Puerto Rico, and staying at Alex’s place made it extra special! The condo was full of charm, and the thoughtful welcome greeting was such a warm touch. Alex provided detailed, helpful suggestions, which I truly appreciated! I tried several and enjoyed them all! The condo was super convenient to everything, and I felt safe and comfortable the entire time, even while walking around the neighborhood. The neighbors were friendly too, which made it feel even more welcoming. Thank you, Alex, for a wonderful stay!

We loved our week at casa Amarillo. House is nicer than the photos make it appear and in a peaceful location. Loved the mangos and visiting dogs! David is very friendly and helpful with recommendations and info.

The entire process of booking, all the way through departure, was seamless. The host and property manager always responded quickly. This property rental comes with a digital guidebook which we referenced many times during our trip. The guidebook will automatically link your location with Google maps and we found it to be essential in our navigation. The property is exactly as pictured in the photos. The way this property blends the outside with the inside is what completely sold me. My husband and I traveled with our two children, both in their late teens, and there was plenty of space to give everyone privacy yet the downstairs open space between the kitchen, living room and pool allowed us to completely mesh. The kitchen was well equipped, the sleeping spaces were quite comfortable, and the pool/grounds were immaculate. The location was perfect— only a 10-15 minute drive to Esperanza or Isabel. I would not hesitate to recommend and I hope that we are fortunate enough to return!

We have stayed on Vieques for over 15 years and this house is one of the best. There are so many thoughtful touches that I haven’t found elsewhere- such as small rugs next to the beds, charging cords on every bedside table and an extra rack in the bathroom to hang our wet bathing suits. The layout of the house is perfect and we enjoyed the pool, and outdoor dinners listening to nature, while watching the star. We are looking forward to staying here again!

Berto was very friendly and helpful. He showed us around and we could see that he was very proud of working there. We asked for restaurant recommendations and also for a chef to come cook for us traditional Puerto Rican food. Berto recommended Nanette and she was very pleasant and even taught us how to cook the dishes she made for our family. Everything was delicious and it made us feel like family. One of the days an iguana came into the swimming pool while the kids were swimming and ended up pooping inside the pool. We called Berto right away and he came and removed all of the “debris” and our family was able to continue enjoying the pool again. The view from the patio and infinity pool was espectacular. We could see Culebra Island and St. Thomas from outside. We recommend staying here.

The apartment was beautiful, and the host was very responsive and helpful with everything from parking to recommendations.

Our family of 8 stayed here to attend a wedding in and loved it. Charming and quaint - the view and property were wonderful and gave us space to either be together or have our own space. Stephanie and Joey were both very responsive and helpful every step of the way.

Magical family experience, all around. from the house and neighborhood, to the entire island. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Beautiful views of the ocean. Loved having coffee looking out at the ocean every day. Cute and comfortable vacation home for our family of five. We didn’t use the downstairs bedroom (only for a load a laundry and to use the 2nd bathroom). Air conditioning units in each room were used when in the house got warm at night. It was communicated several time that the weekends are pretty “festive” and you can hear cars playing loud music from the road so that wasn’t a surprise. Sound machines are provided but we actually travel with one for our youngest child. After the first night the traffic noise/occasional loud playing car music didn’t bother us and only really noticed it on the weekend. Excellent communication ahead of our stay & during our stay. Hector was very friendly when posing questions. Actually everyone in the area was very friendly. We were glad we avoided the crowds in San Juan and experienced Patillas. Would definitely recommend this home to other families.
