Vacation rentals with lake access in Vermont

Thank you, Palmer for an enjoyable stay at your beautiful lake house. We came up for a college tour of UVM and the location was perfect. It took us only 20 minutes to get there and then at the end of our day we came back to relax and unwind at your comfy and spotless home. Every room was beautifully furnished , comfortable and really just felt homey. The kids enjoyed hanging out downstairs watching movies while the adults enjoyed cocktails and talking all while taking in the amazing view of the lake. We had a wonderful time and would certainly return. Only two minor issues, one of which just might have been our own unfamiliarity with the home. The living room gets really warm and even though we turned down the thermostat, it kept creeping up. But it could have even been the fact that it was so sunny one of the days we were there. A minor issue. Outside, the railing to get down from the deck to the yard is a bit wobbly in places and may be due to be replaced soon. Also, no big deal.

John's place was perfect for us to enjoy three days of much needed family time. We played games sitting in the living room with morning coffee or evening wine. We made some simple meals, cooked fiddle heads. The high speed internet helped my daughter to complete some work. We basically enjoyed the second spring there as the field around the house were filled with tulips.

That was a peaceful vacation with my family. First and foremost, the house was spotless clean. There were plenty of toys for my six-year-old niece to enjoy. Kevin had a keen eye for detail, and we had everything guests needed for a comfortable stay. The lake was also a highlight of the trip. We went canoeing, and it was a truly enjoyable experience in that picturesque setting. I hope we can return soon.

One of the best homes I’ve rented in Vermont, the home was beautiful, the property was beautiful as well. Would highly recommend having a vehicle to be able to handle the unexpected weather conditions and would highly recommend staying at this home if you’re looking to snowboard/ski or a simple getaway, the ideal home! The host was super thoughtful and responsive as well. Highly recommend!

This place is worth your stay, it was beautiful smelt fresh as the cleaner did amazing, I felt like I was at home the nice quite outdoors for my family to relax and see the view of lake Eden! Thank you for letting my family enjoy our stay, we will be back!

The Grafton house was perfect for our multi-family with the big space, bedrooms, and bathrooms. We loved the living room area where we could all sit together for family games. The property and house are beautiful and the perfect Vermont vibes. As a skiing family, we liked the location between our favorite ski resorts. Raphael was a wonderful host in providing instructions before our arrival and helpful advice. We really enjoyed our stay at the Gafton house.

Kathy's cabin on the lake is the most magical place - quiet, peaceful and beautiful, the log cabin a throwback to an earlier time (but with great wifi). We sat on the dock with coffee and listened to the sound of loons out on the water. Kathy is also a great host. We will be back (we have actually stayed here a number of times because it's really the most lovely).

If I could rate this 6 stars, I would. The house was immaculate, Christie communicated early and often, and my wife and I (and our two bloodhounds!) absolutely adored sitting on the massive open porch watching the Vermont skies roll by on Friday night. The large windows looking out onto the gardens made morning coffee special, and the property had just been freshly mowed and served as an incredibly playground for the hounds. We just wish we could have stayed longer! For those looking for the epitome of a Vermont get-away with an abundance of privacy and tranquility, this is your spot, no questions asked. This was my second stay, and once again it was absolutely perfect. The host is incredibly kind and helpful—he goes above and beyond to make sure everything is just right. The property itself is straight out of a dream... right on the lake, peaceful, and beautifully kept. I’ve stayed at a lot of places, but this one feels like home—and honestly, it's my dream home. Can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, top-notch getaway.

What a lovely place! Carlene was gracious and warm, and answered all our questions. And the apartment is lovely and very comfortable. And the view out the wall of windows looks over Lake Champlain, offering superb views and still preserving privacy. The yard is large and immaculately maintained, and the nearby causeway offers a trail to bicycle and walk with the lake on either side. I would definitely come back here again. Note that the drive to downtown Burlington is lengthier than I anticipated--about 40 minutes, depending on time of day. However, the seclusion of this home by the lake is what made it so worthwhile.

Amazing view, great and comfy Airbnb. The hot tub is such a nice plus with the incredible view over the mountains. It was so well equipped we had most of our meals in the Airbnb because the kitchen was so functional. I highly recommend this Airbnb!

We would like to thank Ervina for a wonderful stay. Shes just minutes away from Burlington, and less than a mile from the bike path, which was the reason for our visit to Vermont. She allowed us to store our bikes in her garage. The portion of her home we stayed in had a separate entrance and was very clean. The bed was comfy, the shower was powerful. Had a living room to spread out and a kitchen if we needed. And when we screwed up and locked ourselves out, she was quick to respond. If you are a biker, I highly recommend the Burlington Greenway to the South Hero Island, you'll ride over a causeway to a ferry to finish biking on the island. Ervina's place is the perfect spot, you can ride the Greenway all the way down to Burlington which is a beautiful city. The path is smooth asphalt, wide, and the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed our stay with Ervina!

This is such a great spot. Everything in the description and photos is accurate. I could tell that Nicole really cares about making this a good experience because of the little things. E.g., there's a pizza cutter; the Britta and ice trays were full on arrival; the sheets are 100% cotton; the kitchen had a lot of spices and other cupboard items; no fewer than three ways to make coffee; and much more. It's also extremely quiet. There are some friendly long-term tenants on the ground floor whom at no point could I hear in the unit. I bumped into Nicole in the hallway one day — she's extremely nice and friendly! She showed me the 2-BR across the hall, also adorable. You will be glad you stayed here!

We had a great 4 day stay at Nina’s place. The apt is exactly as pictured and described on Airbnb. The space was a nice size, the furniture comfortable with the bed on the softer side, really good Water pressure in the shower, good amount of kitchen ware To create breakfast and lunches and light dinners. We loved the proximity to town and yet how quiet the place was, and there is a river directly in back. Nina was very prompt in responding to questions and gave us great recommendations for hikes in the area. There is a great bookstore and a number of really wonderful gift stores with Vermont artist’s works a block from the apt. And about a mile down the road starfire bakery with truly amazing baked goods. Make it a priority to Go there and try lots of things! We really loved our stay at Nina’s place and hope we can return in the fall or winter.

Loved staying with Sandra and Jason! They are great hosts and did a great job on the Airbnb. We knew there were going to be mosquitoes, but we didn’t know that there were going to be so many, I would advise bringing bug spray. They let us use their kayaks which was an awesome experience. 10/10 would stay again.

Bonnie and Jerry were incredibly friendly. They both greeted us when we first arrived and offered any assistance for our stay. The location is pristine and glorious! Right on a lake with a view, there is a golf course and resort within walking distance. Would absolutely stay here again! Thank you!

Pictures can’t capture how lovely this cabin is. It’s roomy and well appointed. Beds are great! We were too busy to enjoy it fully and hope to get back there. Highly recommend Middlebury and don’t miss the Robert Frost Interprerive trail.

Great relaxing place right on the lake. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could need including spices. We stayed for four days and wish we had stayed longer. The only thing to remember is if using Google Maps it will take you to the wrong address,

My husband and I stayed at Lisa's cottage while visiting our daughter who is living in Hinesburg. It was the most peaceful house and setting I have experienced through airbnb. This remark is not just in response to the lake, trees and views but because there were no abnormal issues, we received detailed instructions on how to find the home and our hosts were very responsive - absolutely no complications or disappointments. The description and photos on the airbnb site were spot on and we were able to cook several meals. I must mention the dogs - they are incredibly well behaved and my daughter loved them. She misses our family dog, so being with Lisa's was a real treat. They did not come to the cottage and did not jump all over us when we were near them. Finally, the setting is absolutely beautiful and I 100% recommend staying over and over again!

The place was beautiful ! The cabin was near the water and secluded. There is not much around so just bring plenty to do or be ready to travel for anything outside of a hannaford and other small stores a few mins away in the next town. We did bring plenty, and didn’t need to get much. We did have to go to other towns for things to do but we did plan on that. We did get to visit Burlington about 45 mins south but it was well worth the trip. The views were amazing ! The place was definitely to standards and Id recommend for anyone fishing and things like that on the water ! It was clean and had lots of space. Thanks so much for a great stay !!

I really appreciated the warm welcome from Dennis and Lenore, they made us feel right at home. They had helpful recommendation for local dining after they provided a full tour and history of the premises. A truly unique, comfortable and historic property with a very comfortable bed. (and my son loved the cinnamon swirl muffins !). Will definitely plan to stay again.

This was a very cozy place right on the water. Our two adult kids accompanied us and we enjoyed the dock and pool table. Thank you, Stan, for a great stay.

Tonya went above expectations to make sure we had a pleasant stay. She even arranged with her neighbor to allow us space to park our boat trailer. This was a great location for boating and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this as the p!ace to stay. We made some special memories with our grandson and fishing on Lake Champlain. We had a great time.

This house was perfect. It is exactly what you hope for in an Air Bnb. It was absolutely immaculate inside and anything you could need was already there. My family and I had work to do on land in the area and we booked this location as a resting spot after long days of work and I'm so happy we did. I cannot stress enough how nice it was to unwind at the end of the day and look out at Lake Memphremagog through the expansive windows, while playing games with my family. It was so wonderfully quiet and peaceful. I also want to thank Ally (and the owner) for allowing us to bring our dogs with us. They loved playing outside and looking out the windows at the lake and surrounding woods. For one of our dogs it was his last trip, as he has reached the age where traveling after this will not be feasible so it was great to see him so happy there. It was truly a wonderful stay and we encourage anyone reading this to book a stay here. Thank you again for everything Ally.
