Family-friendly vacation rentals in Veli Rat

Quiet cottage in a good location on a very nicely landscaped property. It is only a few meters to the first "beach", and some nicer coves are within a 10-minute walk. The communication with Kristijan and his brother Danijel went smoothly, both always responded quickly and helpfully, and there were also tips on restaurants or shopping via WA. The property is fantastic with many herbs and olive trees. Unfortunately, at the time we were there (late May) there was a pretty caterpillar plague, especially on the oak at the beginning of the property, which inevitably limited the baby's crawling radius. The apartment itself has everything you need, although the coffee machine was unfortunately defective - but a replacement would have been organized if necessary ☺️ Only the parking situation is a bit difficult, as some have already written. In any case, we would like to come back, then maybe at a different time of the year😊

We had a fantastic time in this place! The house is located very close to the sea, overlooking the beautiful sunsets. The terrace offered a picturesque landscape, and evenings spent in the jacuzzi were the perfect way to relax. The interior was clean, tidy and very comfortable – everything we needed was at hand. The host was extremely nice and helpful – it was easy to contact him, and in addition, we received great recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. Peace, quiet, comfort - the perfect place to relax!

The house was lovely and had all of the amenities you needed for a relaxing long weekend. Would highly recommend this property! Marta was incredibly helpful and her mum was a great help throughout our stay. Look forward to visiting Zadar soon m!

We had a lovely, relaxing stay. Pool was fantastic, views of the sunset from the balcony every evening stunning. Just a few minutes from the sea. Brilliant place, wish we could have stayed longer

We loved our stay here so much and didn't want to leave. Ivan and his family are wonderful hosts, always there to help with a smile, but lots of space for everybody. They work hard and have earned their amazing reputation with locals and holiday makers. Our kids loved the pool, the space to play and the kittens! Thank you so much Ivan, we would love to come back one day.

We loved our stay at Ivana’s place. A very clean, spacious apartment with a balcony overlooking the sea and a private beach! A short drive to great restaurants and Paklenecia NP! Ivana was a great host, very kind and communicative. Highly recommend.

Frankos apartment was everything and more. Lovely size apartment spotlessly clean. Lovely views. Sun on both balconies so lovely to sit out and enjoy a meal. There is a lovely supermarket a stone throw away. Franko has the restaurant opposite and this is a must!!!. The staff are amazing so attentive 5 stars. And so reasonably priced. I can not reconnect this place any better. He is a lovely young man. Nothing was a bother. We are so booking again

We arrived in the morning and were able to check in right away, the location was amazing. Everything in very good condition and equipped very well - from knives to dishwasher tabs to bandaids, we didn’t miss a thing. We especially enjoyed our terrace with the olive tree in the center and the ocean not farther than 5 meters away. Morning swims, breakfast with ocean view, sunbathing, mali and veli can be reached by foot,… we really enjoyed our stay and wanted to thank mario again for the amazing service 🙌🏼

We spent two nights at Julija's house and enjoyed every moment. Julija is a fantastic host who is always willing to assist and very responsive. Prosecco and a local wine were her welcome drinks, which is always a nice start 😊. Adorable small kitties and outdoor toys for the youngest can be found in the lovely home's specius garden. It has everything you need, even if you plan to remain for a long time. Although the house is located in a very peaceful area, the city centre, bakery, market, etc. are all within walking distance. We look forward to returning here and heartily recommend it. Julija, thank you 💗

It was a great stay. Great, hospitable hosts. Beautiful place with direct access to the sea. There is a terrace, barbecue, garden, sun loungers, umbrellas on the beach. Dominik and his brother were helpful at any time (rental of bikes, scooters, electric scooters, Łódź, speedboats). Aurelia and her husband were very welcoming, they are wonderful people. Our holidays in this unique place was magnificient from the first moment we step on the land! Highly recommend to all nature lovers who love to connect with nature and peace. We love the seclusion of this place where your mind & heart can really rest. Renting Bozo's kayak was a sweet cherry on the top of this vacation. We have truly found a special place which we already miss.

We had a great stay. The location is wonderful. Situated on a hill with a great view of the valley towards the sea. The hosts were very friendly and always easy to reach. The house has everything you need. The pool was cleaned every morning. Highly recommended! Thank you :-)

Great place with everything you could want for a relaxing holiday. Hosts were super helpful and even provided a travel cot and highchair for our little one. Would recommend having a car to get to town but can easily/cheaply park to get into the old town. Ubers were also very available and good value.

The place was very well maintained and in a pleasantly quiet location. The pool and jacuzzi were always very clean and there were plenty of free loungers. In the apartment everything was as described and everything was well maintained. Radovan was a very likeable host with good English skills, the exchange was always possible without any problems. We will certainly be back!

I had booked for 6 people but it was sufficient for 4 people it was not as equipped as expected there were many small things that were not so great otherwise it was very nice who Book 3 or 4 there for you, it is sufficient, but I was a little disappointed with the value for money

We loved our stay at Maja's! The house was great, the view was beautiful and the pool was very nice. Maja is one of the best hosts I've ever met! Very responsive by message, she gave us valuable tips for our excursions and helped us save our friend's sunburn (thank you again for the aloe vera!). Thank you for your kindness and welcome!

Stjepan’s property is an old family house restored lovingly. Not quite a farmhouse, however it does have some chickens, geese, goats, peacocks and pigeons in the backyard. With a mini horse called Suzy and two lovely Alsatian dogs which were kept away from the rented house. Stjepan and his family live on the same property in the main house so it’s very convenient to contact him. There is one twin room downstairs with three bedrooms upstairs with a spiral-type staircase not suitable for the elderly and disabled. Overall a great property, highly recommended if your destination is Zadar. Also convenient to get to the Plitvice National Lakes.
