A View to a Hill

We spent 11 days at Hedvig's place and had a wonderful, restful experience. The location is very peaceful with a great view. The house is well equipped with everything one would need, including a great grill, and was quite cosy on rain days when we stayed at home. The location is secluded, so one needs a car to get to amenities in the valley below, such as restaurants and grocery stores. There are no amenities within walking distance. The road up to the house is serpentine and steep. We took our bikes, but decided it was not very practical to use them right around the house, so loaded them on our bike rack for tours of the valley. That said, we loved the hiking and biking opportunities a short drive away, and we also took some nice hikes directly from the house. There are a great many things to do in the area, from swimming in Verenje Lake to interesting museums. Borut, the co-host, lives in a neighboring house and was always very responsive and helpful if we needed something.

We had a wonderful stay at Ema’s farm in Smihel nad Mozirjem! The environment was incredibly comfortable and family-friendly, making it the perfect getaway for us. Our son was absolutely thrilled to interact with the farm animals up close, while we enjoyed the fresh produce, including eggs and milk delivered straight to our door in the morning—such a lovely touch! Ema is a fantastic host, warm and welcoming, ensuring everything was just right. If you’re planning a trip to Golte or the Savinja area and want a more authentic, family-friendly experience, this is the place to stay. Highly recommended!

It was a nice staying, beautiful wooden tiny house, surrounded by nature. Absolutely peaceful, blissful silence. Tadej was really kind and easy to talk to. Nicely built and constructed tiny house, with an oven, which easily keeps the thing warm, even if it's cold outside. All in all really nice experience. Thank you Tadej.

The place is beautiful, the host already had the jacuzzi warm for us. She came to walk us through the house and explain everything. The terrace was locked, so we couldn’t go there, but we had a great time doing BBQ and spending time at jacuzzi, sauna, and relaxing.

Wonderful host and apartment: very clean,warm, newly renovated and looked even better than on pictures, the price is very reasonable. We went on a nearby hiking on Velika Planina and had the perfect evening when we came back,they even let us stay beyond check out next day. Place has everything you need. I would highly recommend this place and would like to get back with my friend on spring back there.

We enjoyed our stay very much! One note, the swimming pool of the nearby hotel (which you will access) was a bit dated and poorly maintained. However, there is a 15-minute drive away in Velenje is a beautiful lake where you can swim and there is plenty to do. The house itself is well maintained and clean, you also really get a homely feeling. The contact with Ursa is also very pleasant and she responds very quickly! We'd love to come back!

We really had the best time at Primoz’s place! The way up there was a bit tricky.. But the appartement was cosy, well equipped, and clean, it was confortable for our family ( parents and 4 kids) . Thank you Primoz for the delicious jam !! We enjoyed all the activities nearby and also the beautiful wiew !

Katarina and her husband's place is a magical place. The property is located on a hill surrounded by greenery with a crazy view, not too close to the towns but if you are looking for tranquility and nature it is the perfect half. The room is very clean, very spacious, modern and evocative. You can also park on site for free. In the morning there is a very good and varied breakfast prepared at the moment by Katarina; you also have the opportunity to dine, upon reservation, with typical products and at a very honest cost. Katarina and her husband were very helpful, friendly and welcoming. I definitely recommend it if you want to visit the alpine area of Slovenia and not.

House Jaro is perfect for big groups. Breakfast and dinner was fantastic. The sauna is wonderful after along day of skiing or hiking. Mladen and his daughter are trying their best to make every guest happy!!
