Charming family rustic in the Maggiatal

AngelaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We loved staying in this authentic rustico in the old town area. We found it very comfortable and spacious. We made a lot of use of the well stocked kitchen and bright and roomy upstairs area. Selina was a super host and very responsive throughout our stay. We would gladly stay here again.

18th century gem in the Maggiatal

SabineRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Casa Camilla is a great place: in the house you can experience old beautiful handicrafts in furniture and house. Thanks for letting us in. Also as a starting point, Casa Camilla and the village of Fusio are a great place for the endless (!) many discovery opportunities that the valley has to offer: gastronomy (we recommend the likeable "Antica Osteria Dazio"), handicrafts, countless natural experiences... The people are nice, the village quiet. The contact with Stefano was very pleasant and straightforward. Merci.
A panoramic view from a wooden balcony showcases lush green mountains and a distant quaint village. A red building is visible among the greenery, surrounded by a peaceful landscape, highlighting the natural beauty of the area.

Relax for the whole family in Crana

SahraRating, 5 stars9 months ago
The house was very nicely located, great views. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony and enjoying the peace and quiet. It had a lot of spiders and cobwebs (but normally in such a cottage) but otherwise clean.. Thank you Belem for everything!

Casa Fabbro for families and nature lovers.

SandraRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Ornella is very friendly and helpful. We found the place very clean and in the kitchen it all you need to cook in the kitchen! The description said that it has no hot water - but it has enough! Ornella also speaks a little German, so communication worked out great! We were only there two nights but it was awesome - the pool table could also be used! Grotto nearby highly recommended! We'd love to come back, we felt very comfortable!

Casa Larga is located above Brissago and can be reached on foot in 2 minutes from the reserved parking lot. The views are sensational and it's extremely quiet. The house is well equipped and leaves nothing to be desired. The beds are comfortable and pleasant bed linens are provided. The kitchen is so well equipped, even the most ambitious cook lacks nothing. The rooms are all very large and bright and very welcoming. However, you have to keep in mind that it has very large window areas and it can therefore get warm in intense sunlight.

Naturparadies Valle Onsernone - Vergeletto

JensRating, 5 stars24 months ago
We had relaxing days in Vergeletto, mainly due to the quiet and seclusion of the accommodation. Hiking trails lead directly into the surrounding area. A mystically enchanting nature in the valley. The place is simple and convenient. The beds are convenient, the kitchen is essential well equipped. We had a few cold days, but it wasn't a problem to turn on the heaters. There is also a cozy stove. Downstairs in the house is Urs's small beer brewery - very delicate beer. Further back in the valley - after the cable car, there is excellent food in the Grotto of Patrice in the Fondovalle. For all nature lovers who like it quiet and secluded a real tip.
A serene winter landscape features snow-covered rooftops of rustic stone chalets, framed by majestic mountains. The sky is painted in vibrant hues of orange and yellow as the sun sets behind the peaks, creating a peaceful evening scene.

Chalet Sole Grossalp

IvanRating, 5 stars3 months ago
It was a dreamlike experience - truly a place I could only dream about. Absolutely private, silent, and secluded - we spent New Year's Eve there and didn’t see a single person around. The views, the silence, the mountains - everything was perfect. The hosts, Joe and Kya, were amazing. Super friendly, helpful, and responsive. They even helped carry our belongings up the mountain before check-in and back to the car on the morning of January 1st (!). Such kind people! I cannot fail to mention the heartwarming welcome pack with food, sweets, wine, and even treats for our dog, which made us feel so welcome. Even though we visited early in the season, we had so much fun sledding, hiking (with our dog everywhere), relaxing in the cozy house, and enjoying the sauna - followed by jumping into the snow afterward. So you have a lot to do :) Highly recommend it to anyone looking to escape the hustle and truly enjoy the mountains!
A chalet is nestled in a snowy landscape, with a wooden structure visible along the hillside. A stone chimney is prominent, and furniture is discerned resting on the snowy ground. The mountains and a lake create a scenic backdrop, under a clear blue sky.

Ticino mountain holidays in nature

NicoleRating, 5 stars57 months ago
A little paradise in the Ticino mountains!!! We were allowed to enjoy a fantastic time high above Lake Maggiore and far away from the big hustle and bustle on the Cimetta. Even the arrival is unique, with a gondola and chairlift you can reach the Cimetta mountain station in a half hour, from where you can walk to the house in 10 minutes. The beautiful little cottage is well equipped and invites you to relax. It has everything you need on site. The kitchen is very well furnished, even basic food such as spices, oil and vinegar are available. We were able to prepare delicious menus, which we enjoyed at the typical Ticino stone table in front of the house and stayed well-protected until late at night. The fantastic view and the sweet highland cattle, which graze in front of the house make the place special special. Prisca is a great Superhost! She is very eager to make the stay for her guests as possible. For our 1 year old family member she even brought up a cot, high chair, as well as baby crockery and toys. Thank you so much for everything, dear Prisca. We would love to come back!!!

Rustic Cansgei

DeliaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The stay at the Rustico was beautiful and Fabiana and her family were extremely nice! Because of the heavy snowfall, we were there much later than announced, but that was no problem for them and they even cleared all the snow for us for the car and also the way to the house. The Rustico is very sweet and spacious with a well-equipped kitchen! Although it has an oven, it was unfortunately a bit cold and the room does not heat up so well. Make sure to bring finches! Most of the time it's warm enough in Ticino anyway and that's not such a problem! The Rustico is super well located, a bit lonely at the very end of a small path! Many thanks for the great time :)
A warm dining area features a rustic wooden table surrounded by chairs, with soft lighting above. A wooden sideboard is visible along with a small seating area. Natural light filters through windows, illuminating the earthy tones of the walls and ceiling beams.

Rustic - Onsernone Valley Mountains

MelanieRating, 5 stars5 days ago
The place was beautiful and the location completely peaceful and in nature. We were a group of 5 people and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in the chalet. We cooked meals there, played boardgames. It was a really nice experience and Eveline was so friendly to correspond with - answering all my questions. The only thing I will say about the place (that shouldn't deter you from booking) is that it is a 30-40 min climb up. So if you are doing the climb with provisions and you have a heavy pack, it can take longer and require quite a good level of fitness. Also, another tip is to try and reach the chalet in the day. We did the climb in the rain, approaching twilight and the chalet was hard to spot (low light). You can opt for a helicopter which is affordable. We plan to come back over summer and use the helicopter for all our heavy stuff!

Original house surrounded by greenery with incredible views

ChiaraRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Me and my friends spent an adventurous but quiet weekend in the remarkable house. Exactly what I was looking for! In addition to the exciting cooking experiences with the fire, the location and the silence are unbeatable. Likewise, the crystal-clear starry sky at night. Svetlana, her husband and her cute dog warmly welcomed us and showed us everything we needed to know. The house is truly unique and very cozy. Thanks again for the unforgettable experience. Warm regards, Chiara
