Cosy apartment at FURU Hostel in Lofoten

We stayed in a private apartment at the hostel. We arrived late after dark and check-in instructions were clear. The apartment was clean and had the basics - clean beds, warm, very basic cooking supplies. It is an older space (bathroom and kitchen fixtures are outdated, but work fine), that has been spruced up with paint and some new light fixtures, but it worked as a short stay. The best part was the breakfast at the cafe! (Not included in the price.) It was delicious and had an amazing variety - highly recommend!

Very nice place! Friendly and peaceful with great common areas to relax in. They had blankets and games and puzzles for the porch area. Just note that you are a little out of town so if you don’t have a car you’ll need to walk 20 minutes for food. It’s a beautiful walk though!

All-in-all, a great place to stay! A bit outside the center but on the other hand very close to the Fløya / Devil’s gate hike starting point 😎 Recommend to pass by a supermarket on the way to immediately use the kitchen. Room was better than I expected from the photos. Very clean and cosy! Friendly staff as well 😊

I didn’t plan on staying here but I had to get a room after the Gamsøy Bridge was closed. I was really surprised by how well equipped and nice the room I got was. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom is beautiful. I can imagine if the hostel is fully booked it will be a little bit more crowded but I can definitely recommend staying here.

I can't see how this hostel can only be 3-stars. When you add, you'll feel at home, an incredibly friendly atmosphere. Beautiful surroundings, you can do a lot of activities here, through hiking, kayaking, or a sauna. For some days in the week, the activity was designed for the guests of the activity, when we were there, they had marshmallowns toasting. I really recommend it, I rate 12/10.

Suuuper friendly and helpful staff! Easy to get to: car park just off E10 bus stop just accross the road! Very peaceful and quiet, away from everything, but lots to do: hiking, kayaking , cycling, sauna. There is a cosy room with nice games and books and they have a texting group to join for finding fellow travellers: I so met up with others for a midnight sun hike and Jeff from Furru's guided us... it was great. The chef is five star! The food (breakfast, lunch or dinner) is sooo good, don't bring your own! I can highly recommend this place and I'll come back on my next trip. 😀

Furu is a great and beautiful place to stay and be! awesome rooms, the best mattresses we had on our entire trip (!!!! big compliment), superfriendly staff and deeeelicious cinnamon buns!!!!!! Don't go anywhere else to get them, esp not to the surf-beach!

Cozy little Apartment with a functional kitchen, clean little bathroom and two bedrooms. One of the bedrooms didn't have a proper door but for the short stay that we had it was absolutely sufficient.
