Probably the best stay I’ve booked so far. I went with my friends, the place is in the middle of jungle and at the hill top, you need to trek through a trail of 1.2 kms which is beautiful itself. The hosts at zero stays were frequently in contact with us and helped us out with everything also came to receive us. Thanks Amit! The food, cutlery and servive is top notch and will gave you the feel of country style food. PS - Ask them for the hill top mud house, the view is insane. Thank you! Staying with Ajay and his family was the best part of our Himachal trip! A lovely wooden cottage facing the mountains with the Baspa flowing below - the location was fantastic. Aunty and Uncle have built a beautiful house and Ajay works very, very hard to maintain it. The family is very warm and eager to help. The home made food is really a treat! Ajay is an exceptional cook. If you are looking for a peaceful tryst with nature, this is the place for you.

We recently had the most heartwarming and peaceful stay at Orang Utan Homestay in Gangnani, Uttarakhand, and I can’t recommend it enough. Nestled amidst the serene mountains with breathtaking views of the Ganges and snow-capped peaks, this place feels like a slice of paradise away from the chaos of everyday life. The homestay itself is cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed to make you feel right at home. But what truly makes this place special is the hospitality. The hosts(Samrat Bhaiya) went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect sharing local stories, and even helping us discover hidden spots around the area. If you're looking for a soulful retreat, with genuine warmth, stunning scenery, and the kind of peace that stays with you long after you've left, Orang Utan Homestay is the place to be.

Do NOT miss out on this lovely little place. This place gives you all that it promises. It is located in a quaint little village, allowing you to be one with nature. At the same time, Anshul and the caretakers have not missed out on any of the modern facilities, and very easy to reach. I look forward to going back soon!

Orangutan is set in the heart of Bhangeli, a small village untouched by city noise. The air is cool, the valley stretches wide, and the snow-capped peaks stand clear in the distance. It’s the kind of place where time moves slower, and the silence feels restful. Samrat, the host, is thoughtful and welcoming. He prepared a wholesome and hearty dinner of organic rice, dal, and halwa, served in a cozy common room stocked with books and board games. Mornings here begin with hot tea or coffee, best enjoyed while taking in the quiet. A few baby goats and friendly pahadi dogs wandered around, making the setting even more idyllic. Breakfast was fresh and wholesome—a smoothie bowl that felt just right for the place. For those looking to explore, a seasoned trekking guide was available to share stories and lead the way through the forest trails above. Whether for rest or adventure, Orangutan is a place that stays with you.

Dogri – A Hidden Gem in Ratnari My stay at Dogri, hosted by Sanjay and Akshita, was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the picturesque village of Ratnari, this charming Airbnb offers a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and warm hospitality. The property itself is a beautiful vintage-style homestay, thoughtfully designed to reflect the traditional charm of the region while ensuring all modern comforts. The surrounding apple orchards, vegetable gardens, and lush plantations create a serene and refreshing atmosphere that makes you want to stay forever. One of the highlights of Dogri is its adorable resident animals. Their friendly dog, Beswa, was always around to greet us with wagging enthusiasm, while Khobli, the cat, gracefully roamed the property, adding to its homely feel. The sheep, Loblu, was an absolute delight to watch, and the ponds filled with ducks and fish made the entire experience feel straight out of a storybook. I can’t wait to return! Highly recommended.

I recently stayed with my family at this homestay in the hills of a small village, & it was an incredible experience. Despite some recent reviews, we decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad we did. The simplicity of everything, including the food made using organic veges was refreshing. The hosts practice minimalism & make use of available resources wisely, given the necessity to travel to another village for groceries. This is a true village life exp, so don't expect the convenience of citylife where everything is easily accessible. Instead, embrace simplicity & beauty surrounding you. For those used to staying in hotels, it's essential to understand the concept of a homestay. This is abt enjoying home-like atmosphere, connecting with the locals & experiencing their way of life. The host Samrat was extremely cooperative, empathetic making us feel like part of their family. His warmth and hospitality truly enhanced our stay.I highly recommend this place.

We spent 5 nights & Diwali in this charming place, exactly as described in the listing and worthy of every great review it has received. Aseem & Neetu Verma manage the place very professionally with much consideration to comfort, cleanliness & aesthetics. Their personal touches, care for detail and thoughtfulness touched us to the core. Their staff is extremely helpful and pleasant, rooms are very comfortable, view is great from the balcony & we were treated to delicious, large spread of food, prepared hygienically with fresh local produce, all served with love. Inclusion in their Diwali festivities & fireworks (without any additional charge) made us feel like family & shows their large heartedness and genuine love for people. Thank you Aseem and Neetu for creating this haven. Your efforts, passion and fidelity towards your mission is heart-warming and your journey is inspiring. We hope to visit again soon. A truly serene getaway! The property is exactly as described—remote, peaceful, and surrounded by beautiful apple orchards. Be prepared for an adventure, as a 4x4 vehicle or a local taxi is needed for the last 10Km to reach near the property, followed by a short walk. A special mention to the caretaker, Mr. Gulab Singh, and his family, who made us feel right at home with their warmth and hospitality. Their home-cooked meals were excellent, and we truly felt cared for. The host, Mr. Aminder, was extremely responsive and proactive, sharing all necessary details well in advance, including nearby emergency contacts. His clear communication made our stay smooth and hassle-free. Highly recommended for those looking to disconnect and immerse themselves in nature!

Located far away from Chandigarh or Shimla 2. It took us 9 hours to reach this place from Chandigarh 3. Have to depend on their kitchen for food as there's nothing closeby 4. There's no dedicated drawing room in the property. They have decorated the corridor or the lobby area as the drawing room.

I had the perfect getaway at this mountain Airbnb! The surroundings were so peaceful no traffic, just nature. There were a few lovely hiking spots nearby, which was a nice bonus. The in-house cook made some amazing home-cooked meals that really hit the spot. Big shoutout to Dholu Bhaiya, the caretaker, who was super helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. It was exactly the break I needed from the hustle and bustle of city life. Highly recommend if you’re looking for some quiet time in the mountains!
