Vacation rentals with lake access in Uttarakhand

Our family of 13 had a wonderful stay! The property was perfect for our large group, offering clean and spacious rooms that comfortably accommodated everyone. The location was fantastic, especially being so close to Kainchi Dham, which was a highlight of our trip. We were particularly impressed with the delicious food provided – it was a real treat! Parking was ample, easily fitting our three cars, which was a huge plus. A special thank you to Kailash, the caretaker, who was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout our stay. And to Shubham, the host, for his sweet and welcoming demeanor; he made us feel right at home. We highly recommend this property for large families or groups looking for a comfortable and convenient stay. We would definitely return!

The stay felt homely and the host was very responsive. Mr. Kailash, the caretaker of the property, was also helpful in guiding us to reach the location as we arrived quite late in the night and the road towards the end was steep and narrow.

In a quick fix solution of escaping Delhi’s pollution we stumbled upon this beautiful listing and instantly booked it. This property is not your regular airbnb - it actually is your home away from home. The ambience, positivity and Rupeela’s hospitality minced with warmth and love made our week long stay the best days in 2024. Even the house staff made us feel at home , their warmth and welcoming nature is something we have carried back with us to delhi. Rupeela has created this humble abode with absolute details that are true reflections of her personality and all of us - from my 3 year old son to my 60 year old mother , we all relished the moments we spent with Rupeela at her fabulous nest. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY to whoever wants to just cut the noise of city life and explore the beautiful and healing slow life of Dehradun. This was one of our best AirBnB experiences! The location is perfect with the lake right in front of the cottage. The house itself is very cosy and tastefully done up. They have a microwave and fridge so you can be fairly independent as well. The area is comfortable for a family or close friends traveling together. Kumkum Ma'am and Hari Sir are absolutely the best hosts. They are very warm and caring and go out of their way to help you. They have the most interesting stories that keep you entertained. We had a personal emergency and Hari Sir ensured we got all the help we could get. He spoke to his family and with his vast local network, we were able to solve the problem very easily. We were so grateful for his help and guidance. The caretaker Nandanji and his family are very helpful and take care of every need. The food he makes is very delicious and you can ask him to make as per your tastes and preferences. We traveled with a toddler and a dog and all of us had a wonderful time. We can safely say that we will be staying with them every time we head for a vacation in that area!

Absolutely loved our stay here! The peaceful and scenic surroundings were perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms and washrooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Diksha was super responsive and provided clear instructions, making our check-in seamless. The real highlight was the incredible cooking by the caretaker's wife! 🍴 Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious and satisfying. Bhagwan Das, the caretaker, was also very supportive and helpful. The property is well-laid out, with a spacious kitchen and dining area on the first floor and cozy rooms on the second floor. The beds were excellent, and the washrooms were big and clean. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the balcony's unique perk - we got to witness a hot air balloon activity up close! 🌟 We were mesmerized by the breathtaking views from the comfort of our own home. We're just 700 meters from the lake, with a great market along the way for daily essentials and medical shops.

It was very nice spending 2 days out there. Caretaker was also very sweet, he helped us with everything. Rooms were clean, overall good experience. It’s just there was some issue of electricity which they fixed later.

Stayed at Saurabh Villa, Dehradun on 6–7 June and had a great experience. The place was clean, cozy, and had a homely vibe. The balcony offered a nice view, and the kitchen was fully equipped for self-cooking. The TV had a Prime subscription, and essential amenities like Wi-Fi and parking were available. The host was quick to respond and very helpful throughout. It’s a comfortable stay for families or small groups looking for peace and flexibility. Overall, a value-for-money homestay with everything needed for a relaxing break. I’d definitely recommend it to others visiting Dehradun.

It was a great stay at Haridwar. Jagrit was a very friendly host. He allowed us to check in even though we were late to the Homestay. It is very much accessible and close to the Railway station as well. Do check out this stay if you are thinking to go to Haridwar.

Anytime I needed anything, a quick message to either of them resulted in a swift and effective resolution. Archna was an absolute lifesaver when I needed to rent a scooty – she handled everything seamlessly, saving me any hassle whatsoever. And Akhilesh proved to be a true gem when the power supply temporarily went out in the middle of the night; he immediately stepped in to help. Their proactive support and genuine care made my stay incredibly comfortable. Very peaceful and calm place to spend a low-key vacation. The caretaker Sanjay was extremely responsive and pampered us with great food, barbeque and bonfire. Felt like home, would certainly recommend staying here.

This cottage is best if you are looking for some offbeat and peaceful area , that is very close to nature . 4. This is 2 floor cottage with fully equipped kitchen, and best for family also . 5. There are 2 cute dogs , very friendly and as I am a pet lover so I had great time with them . 6. You can enjoy your sunrise and sunset time in balcony with amazing view of nature . 7. This cottage is in Bhowali range so all the tourist spots are not so far from it . You can cover them very easily from this spot . 8 . The only this about this place is this , that there is 100 meter steep slope , so you need expert driver or you can take help from host , they will definitely arrange some help for you to reach the place . My experience was really good , I am in love with this place as I am a peace lover who like to stay near nature and away from traffic and noise .

We had a wonderful two-day stay at this lovely Airbnb home in Mukteshwar. The location is peaceful and surrounded by nature—perfect for a refreshing break. We especially enjoyed the short hike nearby, which offered stunning views and a quiet escape into the hills. The food was a highlight—fresh, delicious, and made with so much care by the caretakers. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. While the road to the property is a bit rough, the experience at the home more than makes up for it—definitely not a reason to lower the rating. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a serene and homely mountain getaway!

Great location, beautiful property. Kamla Aunty was just amazing human being and her son Sanjay is great person. Property needs some maintenance, cleaning could be improved. Need new linen and curtains. Some upgrades would be nice. Love sitting outdoor. We had automatic rear wheel drive SUV, we found it hard to reach to the property. 4WD wouldn’t have any issues but if you driving front wheel sedan or hatch just be careful. Overall had an amazing stay

We were a large group who booked both Nityas cottages and a room. The woodpecker specifically was a sweet little spot with two rooms on the first floor. It’s a compact cottage great for a family of 4. With extra beds you can go upto 5 comfortably. The garden was lovely and the views were amazing. The kitchen is well equipped and the staff were of great help and sincere. Nitya is a really warm, welcoming and helpful host! The cafe is beautiful - full of books, and the food is EXCELLENT!
