The cabin nestled in a serene and picturesque location, provide a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether you're here for adventure or relaxation, Mount Lake Cabins has something for everyone. There are scenic walking trails, mountain biking and running routes, paddle boating, and even 4x4 trails to explore. The veranda offers stunning views of the hills and lake—a perfect spot for your morning coffee or evening sundowner. The outdoor braai area, complete with ample seating and shelter, is ideal for gathering in any season while soaking up the tranquil atmosphere.

Marlize (our host) was incredibly accommodating and communicated clearly throughout our stay. The space is big and clean, offering great value for the price! It was exactly what we needed for a stopover between Joburg and Durban- a comfortable spot to rest. We appreciated the host's attention to detail and would definitely recommend this place to others.

This was the warmest place in Winterton that we have ever stayed in with my team. The house was absolutely clean and hospitable as described in the images. There is absolute safety, comfort and homely touch.

Pippa was so friendly and helpful from making the reservation to our check in. The cottage had everything and more than we could ever have asked for. Wow what a wonderful place to stay. The home is truly a home, nice big bedrooms, en suit bathrooms and stunningly done. The garden is amazing and if you into birding you in for a treat. Situation is great, easy acess to town, coffee shop, fabulous butchery and quick drive to lovely eateries. Will definitely be back.

We had a great stay and loved our time in Winterton. Savannah was really helpful with our check in and Willem was on hand to assist with any requests we had. We would recommend this stay to anyone who would like to explore the area as it is wonderfully situated. We hope to be back in the future.

We had a really lovely one-night stay at Shann and Michaela's cottage. They thoughtfully set up cots for our twins, and even had a heater ready to keep us all cozy - something we didn’t expect but really appreciated with the cold. The cottage is peaceful and surrounded by beautiful scenery, with cows off in the distance that added to the charm. The dogs ran the garden tired! There were so many little touches that made it feel like home. We’re really grateful for the care and warmth Shann put into the space - it made our short stay so special.

Pictures do not do justice to this absolutely stunning and incredible place. From the breathtaking views to the spectacular accomodation and warm reception of the hosts is what made our weekend a most memorable and exciting time. I highly recommend this beautiful homestead to anyone who is seeking to enjoy the splendor of nature in a stunning home with incredible views. We will most definitely be returning to this amazing place. I also want to place on record that we were a little late in checking out but our host was very accommodating. A very big thank you to our hosts.
