The photos looked interesting and the reviews were fantastically positive - then the reality? Absolutely splendid! 10/10 - minus nothing! We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was spotless, cozy, private, safe, and secluded, with thoughtful touches throughout. Everything we needed (and more) was provided. Michelle was incredibly attentive, offering great advice and quick responses, and Vincent and Nadia were so kind helping us when we got stuck in the mud. Such warm, welcoming hosts. Thank you for an unforgettable getaway - we’ll definitely be back!

Marlize (our host) was incredibly accommodating and communicated clearly throughout our stay. The space is big and clean, offering great value for the price! It was exactly what we needed for a stopover between Joburg and Durban- a comfortable spot to rest. We appreciated the host's attention to detail and would definitely recommend this place to others.

This was the warmest place in Winterton that we have ever stayed in with my team. The house was absolutely clean and hospitable as described in the images. There is absolute safety, comfort and homely touch.

We had a great stay and loved our time in Winterton. Savannah was really helpful with our check in and Willem was on hand to assist with any requests we had. We would recommend this stay to anyone who would like to explore the area as it is wonderfully situated. We hope to be back in the future.

Beautiful scenery! We enjoyed our overnight stay at the cottage, breaking up our trip from Joburg to the South Coast. We woke up to beautiful weather and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and multiple seating areas. The evening was very cold but the heater and electric blanket helped. I recommend packing warm clothes and slippers. Shann was a great host, very helpful and responsive. We would come back to enjoy more peaceful time at the cottage.

Pictures do not do justice to this absolutely stunning and incredible place. From the breathtaking views to the spectacular accomodation and warm reception of the hosts is what made our weekend a most memorable and exciting time. I highly recommend this beautiful homestead to anyone who is seeking to enjoy the splendor of nature in a stunning home with incredible views. We will most definitely be returning to this amazing place. I also want to place on record that we were a little late in checking out but our host was very accommodating. Just wow. We escaped the city and walked right into a slice of heaven. The photos don’t do this place justice. You will be so relaxed when you leave here that you will regret having to go back to reality. Kirsten and her dad helped with everything we needed, the road is a bit tricky if it has rained but nothing to cancel your trip over. A true farm experience with peaceful, quiet surroundings, a stunning fireplace, easy living, a blessing not to be surrounded by technology, giving you the ability and opportunity to unwind, rest and relax. We brought along a Bluetooth speaker and had a proper farm jol into the evening with the peace and beauty of nature surrounding us. We left with heavy hearts and wished our stay was an extra few days. This house has everything you need to have a wonderful getaway. Bring your board games and some Old Brown Sherry for those chilly evenings and go and experience true rest and relaxation. Kirsten your slice of heaven will definitely see us again!
