Lean back & relax... Our one-room apartment was created only with natural building materials. With a lot of love for detail, I have processed natural slate & oak wood here. The high-quality interior invites you to relax. Here, at the gate to the Vogelsberg, among other things, is the entrance to the volcano mountain bike trail "Mühlental." Bike charging station directly at the apartment. Then a sauna session? If you are interested, it is possible to take a tour with my US Oldies ;-)

Our place is close to beautiful meadows and hills, ideal for relaxing, hiking, going offline.... You'll love our Lydi-Hütt' because of the location, because of the little something extra, and the surroundings of our beautiful Vogelsberg. My place is good for couples, solo travelers, families (with kids), and dogs. The renovated half-timbered house is located in the hamlet of Schmitten. A hamlet is a very small residential development with approx. 10 houses. Pure idyll.

Charming holiday home with wood-burning stoves, large garden, and modern amenities—ideal for groups. Spread over three floors, the house offers six comfortable bedrooms, three modern bathrooms, and two fully equipped kitchens. Second floor (90 m²): Spacious living and dining area with wood stove and Bluetooth HiFi system, cozy armchairs, antique furniture, and inviting atmosphere. Apartment is very spacious. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and bathtub and very large. Here you can relax, experience relaxing days in harmony with a wonderful nature. All rooms with kitchen and bathroom can be fully used. In the vicinity you will find great hiking routes, reservoirs, Europe's largest extinguished volcano and even a swimming pool nearby on foot. A thermal bath with salt cave is 13 km away (Bad Salzhausen).

Sheikh House "Living in a historic barn"

More than 20 years ago we bought the Sheikh House, a single house in the beautiful volcanic region of Vogelsberg. In the past, the farmhouse consisted of a dwelling house, a stable and the barn. We both worked in tourism and managed a holiday village for a long time. When we retired, we decided: This is not possible without guests! We have always dreamed of remodeling the old barn of our house – and now was just the right time.

Feldkrücken, near Ulrichstein, is a small, non-touristy, very quiet place near the highest mountain in the Vogelsberg, the Hoher Rodkopf, 4 kilometers away. Up there, not only a wonderful panoramic view, but also a well-run restaurant with excellent cuisine offers some attractions, such as a summer toboggan run, a climbing forest, or treetop trail. There are of course also many hiking trails, including a volcano hiking trail.

Our vacation home on the Alte Hasel is a natural vacation home for up to 12 people in the middle of the Vogelsberg volcanic region. On a 3000 sqm property is the detached house between tall trees, a large pond and the Alte Hasel creek. The house has two areas. The main apartment with 4 bedrooms and the secondary apartment with 2 sleeping areas. A total of 6 bathrooms/toilets are available.
