Chiharu is a great host, she was responding to all communications without delay. Instructiins for location and house amenities were provided timely and were very clear and comperhensive. Her house is very clean and coosy. It had mor than an enough space for a big family. The neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet. Thanks for making our stay comfortable and memorable.

Staying at this Airbnb was a wonderful experience. It was easily walkable from the closest station. The place is nice and clean and had a lot of room. The beds were comfortable and there were enough amenities that made the stay comfortable and easy. The host was incredibly kind and helpful and very responsive. Overall would definitely recommend.

We arrived really early and needed to leave our luggage at airbnb before our check in time and our host was very accommodating.

Wir haben uns direkt in der Unterkunft wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist super ausgestattet und die Dachterrasse ist wirklich toll! Direkt um die Ecke ist eine Bahnstation, Getränkeautomaten und Lebensmittelgeschäfte. Diese Unterkunft hat einfach alles was man braucht! Sie ist definitiv einen Aufenthalt wert!

El lugar es genial, es una casa con 3 habitaciones, 2 estaciones de metro muy cerca lo que facilita mucho la movilidad por la ciudad, konbini muy cerca tambien, el espacio del lugar es bastante ya que es una casa, eramos 3 personas, cada quien con 2 maletas grandes y teniamos mucho espacio, si vuelvo a Tokyo definitivamente repetiría hospedaje a aquí.

Emi was a wonderful host and this airbnb was at the quiet end of a strip of small bars and restaurants, close to the Koenji train station. Occasional train noise, but not loud enough to disturb sleep in the comfy beds. My daughter enjoyed the cute anime themed bedroom behind the kitchen, which had many appliances. My son appreciated the Nintendo switch! Laundry had a washer and dryer, thanks for the clear instructions in English on how to use everything Emi, and for providing everything that was on the airbnb listing. We would be happy to stay again, and hope to in the future.

Wonderful hosts! I cannot say that enough. We were picked up and dropped off at the station coming from Narita. The house is just as you see in the photos and everything is well taken care of. Whenever we had concerns or questions, there we had a response. For a big trip internationally, the recommendations were well received and the hosts helped us with travel and figuring out where to get on the train and how to get around. Facilities inside were great. Air conditioning with fans. Washer was available to use. Just a notice for potential lookers. I guess you could say we were in the 'suburbs' of Tokyo. Travel is a little longer than usual by train but we adapted well and planned around that. There are stairs up to the main floor. A little narrow, so if you are okay with that, then this is a great place to stay. Just make sure you follow house rules and you will have a great time. I have no real negatives to say.

Pencil House is centrally located. It’s a 5 minute walk to Hatsudai station, then just one stop to Shinjuku station (15/20 minute walk from Pencil House). Plenty of space in the house for our family of 4. We were all jet lagged the first couple of days and it was helpful to be able to move around without waking everyone else up. Great to have access to a full kitchen & a washer too. There’s a 7 eleven and a delicious yakitori restaurant only a short block away. Tracey & Ash were super responsive and had all household supplies fully stocked. Ash picked us up from Narita and drove us to the house. We all felt right at home! The Airbnb was wonderful, a good amount of space and all the amenities needed. The host was very friendly and happy to help out with any requests we had and had recommendations for things to do/buy while there. It was perfect for a longer term stay with all necessities nearby and a good yakitori restaurant downstairs

Smaller than expected, but in great location to visit senso ji temple.

Väldigt bra och rymligt boende i ett fint och vackert område. Lägenheten rymde 3 personer och hade ett fullt utrustat kök och stort badrum. Hiss upp till lägenheten var hjälpsamt när vi hade flera resväskor med oss. Området är tryggt, lugnt och hade många restauranger och bra tågförbindelser. Väldigt nära till tunnelbanestation och många conbinis som hade öppet dygnet runt. Vi kände oss som hemma och skulle absolut bo där igen. Rekommenderar starkt.

Excellent AirBnB for families (our party had 4 adults, 1 toddler and 1 infant) looking for a reasonably accessible location. Nice and cosy apartment exactly as described. Heaters were functional and we were nice and cosy despite the cold weather outside. Bathwater nice and warm. Laundry machine and dryer were a godsend. Kitchen was well equipped though we only used it to make instant noodles and reheat food. Our toddler loved the toys. Sleep was peaceful and the surroundings were not noisy at all. Reasonably accessible to Nishi-shinjuku even with a loaded stroller. There's one convenience store that's incredibly near (probably less than 30 seconds away!), and another down the road too. Letitia (Tia) was an amazing host; responsive, friendly, meticulous, thoughtful and helpful. Check in was a breeze at the agreed-on timing and location for meetup. Overall strongly recommend! Well done Tia! Thank you for having us!

Everything was great during our stay. The only thing is that it is on the fourth floor with no elevators so it is a little hassle when arriving and departing with luggage and there is no iron. Also, It is about 30 minutes from downtown Tokyo so transportation was a little expensive Other than that, a flawless stay and would recommend for small group traveling to Tokyo.

the location was amazing! it had everything we needed from conbinis to restaurants to a dryer. it is not far to walk to the station as well. the place is quite small actually but it fits 2 people. won’t be able to open 2 huge luggages at once though.

Fantastic location and squeaky clean! Easy to check in, great “user guide” for Japanese appliances. Highly recommend!

Masami was amazing! From the booking process to the stay, she was extremely communicative and responsive. Her guides in the home was thorough and left me feeling confident when navigating appliances in a difference language. The location was also very convenient. I would definitely recommend Masami!

Estamos muy felices de habernos hospedado en el departamente de Akiko! No sólo sus instrucciones fueron claras, la casa estaba reluciente sino que también nos dió varias recomendaciones. Es el departamento perfecto y muy tranquilo luego de un día de mucho caminar para recorrer la ciudad. Sin duda queremos volver!

We stayed at Sho's place all 5 days we were visiting Tokyo. Going around all day in busy areas, and then coming back to Yotsuya and our quiet neighborhood, and EXTREMELY comfortable bed, was the perfect situation. The counterspace in the bathroom is great, even for two people, and the AC is very effective. Highly recommend Sho's spot. The neighborhood is gorgeous, quiet, and has plenty of places to stock up on everyday needs, the place itself is all-around a fantastic home base for your trip, and Sho is the kindest host.

Très bon emplacement, distance à pied jusqu'à la station "Otsuka". Beaucoup bon restaurants à la proximité. Quartier calme. Phoenix est toujours très réactive, il est très compréhensive et aimable. 2 chambres spacieux, un balcon avec la lave linge. Il y a un placard pour chaque chambre. Les parapluies sont disponible. J'ai un petit problème avec la lave linge et j'ai signalé ce problème à Phoenix. Il a réagit rapidement. Je recommande.

這次的住宿環境讓我非常滿意，房間乾淨整潔，設備齊全，住起來很舒適。地點也很方便，步行5分鐘就能到地鐵站，附近就有超市（走路大約2分鐘），生活機能很好。走路大約10分鐘還可以到晴空塔附近的LIFE超市，採買很方便。回覆訊息也很快、讓人安心、整體來說是一次很愉快的住宿經驗，之後有機會還會想再入住！

忙しい中での利用だったため、わからないことについての返信が速く、とても良かったです。また、場所よ道案内も非常にわかりやすく、安心して利用することができました。

Very convenient spot to stay if you want to be a quick ride away from Shinjuku and in the heart of Okubo. We could quickly get around town, 20 minute walk to our favorite spots, or 5-10 minutes to a few subway lines. This place is great if you plan on mostly being outside touring, it is pretty compact but worked great for us.

We loved staying here! The neighborhood (Gotanda) has lots of shops and restaurants nearby yet is not as touristy or crowded as other parts of Tokyo. 5 min walk to the metro and JR station made it very convenient. The apartment had 3 separate mini-split AC units so each bedroom and the living room could be adjusted to fit preference. It was also very clean and well-stocked with the essential supplies. Bryan even stocked the fridge with an assortment of drinks for our arrival. That was a nice personal touch. He met with us upon check-in to go over the equipment and answer any questions. He also gave great recommendations for restaurants which we tried them all out. Overall, very happy with having stayed here and can't wait to return.

Hitomi took amazing care of me and my daughter while we were her guests! She sent us a detailed list of recommendations for the neighborhood including kid-friendly highlights. When my daughter needed to go to the doctor, she sent a list of clinics. She also helped me ship some luggage to make my train trip easier. She was an incredible host, always going above and beyond.
