Cretan Traditional Stone House of 1850 in the Nature and Flora of Chania

The house is located in a small traditional village which consists of two neighborhoods built on two elongated hills and separated by a ravine. At the bottom of the ravine is a very old stone fountain with trees. The houses are masterfully built of stone on the successive levels of the two hills thus providing a beautiful traditional settlement. The view to the opposite villages are impressive. The flora is especially rich in herbs and medicinal herbs such as oregano, thyme and labdanum.

Renovated old stonehouse (built 1800) consisting of two (loft type) rooms and a in a separate building a fully equipped kitchen (entrance from shaded yard -look at the photos). Can sleep up to 4 people (one double bed at bedroom and 2 sofas at main room). Shaded yard with beautiful external views . Tzitzifes is a small village located at the foot of a mountain ,way off the tourist paths. Use of car necessary.Parking area 30m from home. Closest beach Georgioupolis and Kavros 18 min drive.

Το σπίτι του προπαππού Νικόλα και των 8 παιδιών του αφέθηκε στη φθορά του χρόνου για δεκαετίες, μέχρι που πρόσφατα αναπαλαιώθηκε με πολλή αγάπη και σεβασμό στην ντόπια αρχιτεκτονική παράδοση. "Σπίτι ώστε να χωρείς και χωράφι όσο μπορείς", έλεγαν τότε. Σήμερα, το φιλόξενο αυτό σπίτι ελκύει με την απλότητά του και χαρίζει ηρεμία στον επισκέπτη του. The boutique style interior opens up to large terraces for dining and relaxation. The ensuite shower room leads out from the calming bedroom to the private plunge pool, which is 2m by 4m in size. The pool can be heated with prior request. The cottage nestles between mature olive trees in an acre of beautiful Cretan countryside and is secluded from the main house.

A beautiful stone house, built in Pemonia, Apokoronas, just 20 minutes from Chania and 25' from Rethymno. An ideal destination for lovers of nature, but also. The house consists of 2 parts. The first includes the kitchen and the toilet. In the second part there is a spacious open space, with a fireplace, 2 sofas, one of which becomes a double bed and a bedroom that accommodates two people. Finally, a barbecue and a wood oven await you for delicious treats!
