Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

Although you can come by public transportation, it is more convenient to come by car as it is quite a rural area. The hot spring is 5 minutes by car. TABITABI MITSU is a fully renovated 100-year-old Kyoto machiya near Rokuharamitsuji Temple. This private entire house offers a calm stay for one group per day. The entrance features historic stone paving once used for Kyoto’s streetcars. The flooring showcases traditional “Naguri” hand-carved textures. Enjoy a serene garden view and relax in the semi-open-air bath with a Shigaraki ceramic tub. Upstairs includes a tatami room and bedroom with refined design details.

This guesthouse is a renovated 120-year-old traditional Japanese house located in the merchant town of Omi Hino, overlooking Mt. Watamuki in the Suzuka Mountains of Shiga Prefecture, with the concept of "nostalgic yet new." The townscape of Hino itself is somehow nostalgic and calming. "Watamukiyama Village" was born in a corner of this town in 2019. Accommodation is limited to one group at a time, and the accommodation fee starts from the rate for two people.

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!

There are 2 bedrooms(Tatami-room) and 1 living room, gameroom, bathroom, shower toilet, all of the room are only for you. *Children is free of charge if your children don't need a bed and break fast. There are air conditioners in bedroom and livingroom.
