House vacation rentals in Townshend

A fun winter break/birthday getaway! Sarah’s house had plenty of bedrooms for all guests. The game room, pool table, and wood stove/fireplace were great to have on these cold February days. Everyone enjoyed the sunroom and large dining table. The hot tub and outdoor sleds were used as well. The history of the house and beautiful views from the property were an interest to all. I bet this house is a lovely spot in the summer as well!

Historic house on a beautiful property. Kitchen had all the equipment you could need along with top of the line stove and oven. Make cooking for a large group easy and enjoyable!

Beautiful, historic home in a lovely neighborhood close to downtown Keene. Charming and cozy inside and out. Comfortable beds and furniture. Wonderful artwork by Ruth throughout her home. Large bright kitchen with everything you’d need to stay. Enjoyed the architecture and restaurants in Keene. Highly recommend Ruth’s home to stay in this area!

Jake's house was the perfect fit for our family. It was spacious allowing for us to spread out if we needed personal space but also perfectly suited for hanging out together in the family room and kitchen area. The bedrooms were large and there were many options to choose where to sleep. The house was very clean and beautiful overall. I had a few questions and Jake was quick to respond. I would highly recommend this place.

Staying here is always a joy for the entire family! It has become an annual tradition that we all look forward to in winter. Thank you for being so accommodating with our schedule and a special thanks to Mitchell for going the extra mile to snow blow a waking path for me and the dogs to keep our daily routine of visiting the horses, after the last storm brought over 13” of snow. P.S. the new stove/oven is amazing!! 🤩

We had such a great time staying here! The house was so cozy and clean and was perfect! Felt like being at home and not staying in an Airbnb. Super close to the mountain, especially if you park in carinthia! Loved the guest book that they have in the kitchen, a fun added touch! Robert was extremely responsive to any messages and super accommodating with us and our needs! Absolutely would recommend staying here!!

9 adults and 3 children all met up for a family weekend! We came from NY, NH and Maine! The house was perfect! Plenty of room to gather or separate! Even tho it was a chilly rainy weekend the kids managed to get in plenty of pool time! Tanya was very responsive and Melvin was the greatest! Our first morning he came right over to fix a slow drain. We had a great stay at the Hollywood Bungalow. House was described accurately and had so many thoughtful touches to make us feel welcome. Diana met us upon arrival and walked us around the property and the house. Such a great host! She had generously provided snacks, treats and gave a thorough overview for our stay. We were primarily focused on skiing at Jiminy Peak which was a short 20 minute drive. We also brought our 5 year-old rescue who had the best vacation of her life. She was able to use the fenced-in backyard to run around off leash and even meet a new friend when Jackson's dog visited. Diana even shoveled walking paths in the yard throughout our stay so we could get around in the high snow. The Screening Room is awesome and provided hours of entertainment. Quiet street and picturesque location. We will definitely return.

Everything you would expect from a farm house setting. Quiet country roads and sheep 🐑 out in the front yard. It was very peaceful.

Stayed at the Post Haus twice now. Loved it both times. The property and private location is perfect for our rescue dog and is beautiful with the cool river water rapids and unique sky watching experience at day and night.

Gene was the absolute best from before our trip started until the very end! His retreat was beautiful and very well kept with great amenities, looking forward to check it out in the summer!

Lindsay and Wes' place is a beautifully modernized traditional farmhouse. It is spacious, with comfortable living areas and one of the best stocked kitchens I've seen. The bed was comfortable and the towels are LARGE and fluffy. Out every window are peaceful farmland views. Lindsay and Wes were perfect hosts, giving us privacy but letting me know that they were there to help with anything. Loved our stay and would love to come back if we are in the area again.

My husband and I spent a long last winter weekend here. The condo was perfect for ski on/off and we enjoyed a day on the mountain. Though the weather wasn’t great the whole time, Brittany & Jen were quick to send recommendations for things to do, trails to hike and their favorite restaurants. So close to lots of great spots in this little mountain town. We would absolutely stay here again

I was planning on my proposal and wanted somewhere special. The window house was exactly that. Private, peaceful, super clean, amazing views and wildlife. Taylor and Marla were EXTREMELY good at communicating and getting back in a timely manner. If you and your significant other are looking to get away, this is the place. It’s sublime.

Overall would highly recommend! It’s tucked in a great location, lots of room for guests, and the hot tub was a big plus!

Really nice peaceful place to stay. Was super clean and a most interesting house with many antiques, brought back many memories from childhood. Host was very responsive and very friendly. Would definitely stay there again!

The home and location are great, but the hosts are what make this place. They go above and beyond to make your stay special.

Ariana’s place was great after a day of snowboarding at Stratton. Great location, the home was cozy and we had a great time relaxing at the house. Ariana was responsive to our question and the home was well equipped to enjoy a meal at home after being out all day.

Melanie’s place was terrific! It is a great comfortable place, plenty of size for the whole family. We cooked great family meals in the evening and enjoyed the board games in the house. Approximately equal distance to Stratton, Magic or Mt Snow- 25min

It's possible I've never given 5 stars and checked every chip for an airbnb. This space was absolutely stunning. Such beautiful and peaceful surrounding, loads of clean and comfortable towels, the most comfortable beds (if you like firm beds), the sauna was amazing and smelled so good too, the host was responsive, flexible, friendly, and accommodating, and the interior design and comfort of the home because of its lighting, games, kitchen, living space... just everything, absolutely pristine.

Lovely stay at Ellen’s farm house. Peaceful and charming. Very responsive and kind host. Would come back!

The host, Suzanne, was very accommodating and quick to respond to our questions and requests. We had a lovely time at the house. It was relaxing and comfortable. We also were thrilled to schedule horse riding lessons while visiting. The trainer, Jayda was an excellent teacher! The location is an easy drive to Stratton, Brattleboro, and Manchester. We also went to the Newfane Market, where you can get excellent sandwiches and a variety of delicious scratch baked goods. We had a laid-back, peaceful stay. Diana's home was well furnished and equipped with everything we needed for a quick ski getaway. We had a couple questions throughout the stay, and each time Diana was super responsive and accommodating. Could not recommend this place enough.
