Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Toledo District

Azura Beach provided a tranquil and picturesque retreat for our trip. north of the town, the property features only two cabanas near the water, ensuring a private and intimate experience. The cabanas themselves are thoughtfully designed, with comfort and aesthetics within a cozy space. Property is beautiful, resembling a private park, and offers various recreational activities including paddleboards or kayaks. We loved the pier, with an over-water hammock net and a loft hammock. Like much of coastal Belize, erosion is present, so the beach is not ideal for wading, but swimming is still doable. Upon arrival, we found towel animals and hearts arranged on the bed for our couples' getaway. The cabana was perfect. We didn't interact with the caretakers, other guests were actively engaging with them for activity planning, indicating their willingness to assist. The property's beauty was undeniable, as evidenced by the numerous inquiries I received for its booking link after posting photos.

We stayed for a week and loved the property. The single beds were replaced with a very comfortable full size bed with high quality linens. Well stocked kitchen, bottled water was also provided. Spacious workspace/dining room, comfortable seating and TV area and very stable/fast internet. The suite was very clean, spacious , with large screened windows, awesome views of the property and sea. I wasn't sure what to expect for the bathroom because the ad only mentioned an outside shower but there is an indoor 3 pc bathroom located just steps outside of the suite, that was a pleasant surprise for me. It was very clean. We enjoyed the deck spaces, wood/charcoal BBQ and covered parking was a bonus. Roberto was a fantastic host. I recommend his smoked chicken and fish, if you can get it. We hired him for a day of fishing, he was an awesome guide. He can also arrange a kayak rental, another bonus. I give Roberto and the property a 5 star rating. Great dogs as well. I hope to return.

We stayed in the mermaid cottage and it was lovely, clean, and comfortable. But the true treasure were the caretakers, Jose and Sylvia. They were friendly, patient, and very very helpful. Jose gave us recommendations for very unique Belizean experiences that we never would have found otherwise and helped us with even our most high maintenance needs/requests with a smile. They both really went above and beyond and felt like family by the end of the trip. We I didn't particularly love the rain shower in the bathroom. One of us has thick curly hair and it was very difficult to rinse. It would be awesome if the hosts invested in a detachable shower head to go with it. Also a sad reality is that a lot of garbage washes in from the ocean. The caretakers do their best to keep it clean but it's a nonstop task and there are only 2 of them. I would love to see the hosts hire atast one more caretaker since it's a lot of property to manage. Otherwise no notes.

We visited Placencia during Tropical Storm Sara (Nov 2024). As we have never been in a tropical storm (snow blizzards are what we are used to), it was a panic when traveling into one with our 2 children. All we ever want is for them to be safe. Tracy was kind to let us check in a couple hours earlier for peace of mind. Thankfully - the storm hit north of us and the weather improved through out our stay. We love the location - watching and listening to the waves facing the Caribbean, and then having the lagoon on the other side. My kids swam every day in the pool, even when it was pouring rain. Rosa, the caretaker, was extremely friendly and helpful. We would 100% stay here again next time we visit. The use of the kayaks was a great perk. We didn’t use the bikes.

Sea Glass was the perfect place for our stay. Beautiful, clean, great location and amazing hosts. We are so very thankful for Tom jumping in and arranging a couple excursions for us. We will be back!!

We will be back!!! Paradise!!!

We love the property and keep coming back; this was our 5th or 6th straight year. We like the fact that it is pretty far north because we like to explore the beautiful country of Belize. We are still close to the great restaurants in Maya beach and can access the village relatively easily. It is clear that Greta loves the property too and does her best to take care of it and improve upon it. The progress on the fountain is great and we look forward to see it functioning in its full glory. We appreciate the effort she makes! Whenever an issue arises, we appreciate the fact that we can work together with Greta to quickly resolve it. It was also a bonus to have Phillip working on the grounds and trying to improve our esperience while we were there this year. The only downsides with our visit this year was about a week of squalling cats during the night and owls that were extremely loud during the wee hours. We are looking forward to coming again next year or perhaps even later this year.
