Amazing historical house. It's not for everyone but it's fascinating to see how people would've lived back then! Host was amazing as well. Left way more snacks and drinks than I could finish, and offered lots of great advice for the area, and always checking up on me to ensure I am comfortable!

The house is very nice. The nature around is peaceful and very relaxing. The main Shrines are a 30 minute walk away. Bus stops to climb to the lakes are a 30/40 min walk away. It's a little far but when you know it, it's no problem!

I will be in the next town, but I stayed for two nights and three days as an inn to return to my parents' home.It is close to Mibu Interchange, so I think it is very convenient for traveling not only in Tochigi Prefecture, but also in North Kanto. It was too spacious for the three of us, and one of the rooms ended without using it.It's so spacious. There were a lot of displays on the furniture and drawers, and it was easy to understand. The extension cable was very much appreciated. We think it is a popular facility, so we would like to stay again if the timing is up.

The room was clean and there were plenty of places to hang out in the neighborhood, and the location was nice. The BBQ grill was almost exclusively brought in ingredients, and I enjoyed the comforts of a hotel and the fun of camping.

WELCOME TO JAPANESE HOUSE!

DavidRating, 5 stars6 days ago
My second stay with Tomoyuki since two years ago. Everything went beautifully as expected. The weather was not cooperating on one of the four days but that allowed me to stay in to enjoy this vintage tradition home and felt the tranquility it presented itself on a rainy day. The hike nearby was kimochīi (feeling great). The izakayas recommended were subarashī (wonderful). Tomo introduced me to spend a day at Mashiko. The famous pottery town was preparing for the upcoming Golden Week event and I appreciated "the calm before the storm" time strolling the quiet town. Some keepsakes were bought. I look forward to another visit soon, maybe in a different season to appreciate the range of activities available around the area.

R50 Traditional House Tochigi Japan

The futons were of such high quality, soft, and incredibly comfortable to sleep on. I had the best night’s rest of my life! I would highly recommend visiting this place just to enjoy a good night's sleep. The house is absolutely beautiful! It is well-maintained. There are good air conditioners, so staying warm was not a problem. The furniture and decorations are so lovely and elegant. If you love nature, this place is perfect for you. There is plenty of wildlife just outside the house. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area and observing all the different animals. The bathroom is very fancy and modern. Everything was sparkling clean and spacious. I highly recommend visiting, especially for the chance to enjoy a relaxing bath! To top it all off, the host is exceptionally kind! She is welcoming, helpful, and warm. When we arrived late at night, the futons were already laid out and prepared for us. We were so happy staying here. Thank you again, Nao-Sama, for having us! ^^

Sachie’s property was such a comfortable base for me to explore some of Tokyo and the surrounding areas. I stayed for three weeks and had lots of pleasant experiences over that time, both in the area near the apartment and in many other areas easily accessible by the train station right across the street. Sachie was even kind enough to take me out for sushi, to a nearby temple with cherry blossom trees, and to the local strawberry farm. The apartment was clean, cozy, well equipped, and provided me with everything I needed to have an enjoyable stay. Hopefully I’ll be able to return in the future 👍

Highly recommend. The place was spacious and comfortable. While the location isn't in town it has enough food options around it and it is closer to the main sites. Town is a short walk away or the bus stop is close by. The host was very friendly and informative and even picked us up from the train station.

Great place to stay, had all the necessary amenities. Good location and excellent restaurant. Beds were softer than we are used to but that's not an issue of accommodation 🙂
