Queenies lodge, a stunning getaway, Co Kilkenny

EmilyRating, 5 stars6 days ago
If we could give Bernie more than 5 stars we would! We have stayed in many air bnbs over the years and this is hands down the best one! Bernie and Paul are so welcoming…the house is amazing…the surrounding property is stunning…and the animals are as friendly as the hosts…Simba the cat coming to visit with us while we had outdoor coffee and the dogs greeting us when we came home at night. There is so much to do and explore in the area that we could’ve stayed for much longer than the wonderful four days we spent there… and at the same time the house is so comfortable and enjoyable to spend time in that we didn’t find ourselves racing out because we were enjoying the house so much. Bernie and Paul have created a space as lovely and welcoming as they are as people and we can’t imagine there is a better air bnb in all of Ireland! We hope to come back again in the future and will definitely be recommending Queenie’s Lodge to all of our friends and family!

IrishThatched farm cottage. Private rural retreat

DebbieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Traditional thatched roof cottage with lots of charm. Sonia gave us some history of the cottage upon arrival. the setting was beautiful! The roses were divine! The thatched roof was why we booked, the setting was worth the stop, and the water pressure was outstanding, possibly the best in all of Ireland. Sonia is a delightful host and her live of the property shows.

Murgasty Lodge, House and Gardens

Liam is a wonderful host- very friendly, interested and helpful. We had trouble finding his place-until we put in the postal code. I think they call it "Eire code", but I understood " air code", which I didn't understand. There is an issue with water pressure, and we only had hot water in the shower after the second day. I might have turned off an incorrect switch, but didn't know which one, and Liam had to work night shift, so he wasn't there..... All in all we enjoyed it there. The location is lovely! The house is charming.

CastleHouse - Self Catered House

My family and I had a great experience with Dave and Susana. They were excellent hosts providing clear instructions, recommendations and things to do. They were accommodating, strong at communicating details and hospitable. The space was nice and cozy. Lots to do with board games, movies and books. The stay is off the beaten path so nice and peaceful with a two minute walk to a local pub and 6 minute drive to takeaway. Recommend for anyone looking for a unique peaceful experience

Wake to a new dawn in the den

ChiaraRating, 5 starstoday
We stayed in Denise’s and Chris’ lovely Den for just one night, but would have absolutely stayed longer if we had the time. The Den was spotless clean, finely decorated and with beautiful surroundings and the homemade scones were definitely the cherry on top. Denise and Chris were very responsive and available to answer our questions and give us suggestions. Would highly recommend!
