Vacation rentals in Thomson

We had an awesome experience at Tracy’s Airbnb for our girls trip. We loved the walking trails that were near and saw a lot of wildlife which was a nice surprise in the morning. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to our friends and family!

Lovely home with great amenities. Perfect for the family event in Freeport, which was why we were in Freeport. Roger was on top of everything. Would definitely stay here again, as well as recommend to friends.

The cabin was perfect for our short stay. It had thoughtful touches, all the basic kitchen supplies needed to cook, a comfortable bed, and amazing views—what else can you ask for? If the nightly train noice might bother you, you may want to bring earplugs or close the window/door upstairs before you go to bed. (It was worth it for us for the fresh air!) The host very kindly offered us a late checkout since her cleaning service was going to be late getting there anyway. (We wouldn’t have thought to ask if that was even possible.) Thanks, Bekah!

We had such a great time! We took the whole family (10 people) and there was plenty of room. The basement was great for keeping the kids entertained. They were wore out from playing video games, air hockey, basketball, and hot rubbing. The area has beautiful views, and feels very private even though there are houses close buy - which we prefer just in case we would need help. We all wished we could have stayed longer! We highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Great place for groups with all ages. Game room was so fun! Multiple beds and bedrooms made for comfortable sleeping arrangements for our group of eight. Would love to come back in warmer weather to take advantage of the outdoor space.

This house was more than just a home base for our time in Galena - it was like an attraction itself. There were so many fun things to do in the home (piano, mini golf putting, PacMan, mini bowling, darts, games, puzzles, jetted tub…) that even in chilly/rainy weather, we were not bored. Additionally, it was super clean and comfortable, spacious with plenty of room for our belongings, and equipped with all that we needed. The outdoor spaces (balcony, screened room, and backyard) and dark sky community (so many stars!) added to the fun. The nearby clubhouse had a wonderful pool with 3’6” depths and up, perfect for kids. It was a wonderful, relaxing stay!

This home is such an absolute gem! Beautiful location overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River - I love watching the natural beauty around us over my morning coffee! Robin most certainly has a talent for creating an environment that is welcoming and comfy - you feel right at home as soon as you walk through the front door. And the decor is beautiful with a river/beach theme. We love this place for our twice a year girls' getaway. Three of us meet in Port Byron for a long weekend. It's the perfect location for us to relax and reconnect with each other. It has plenty of room for the 3 of us to spend time together while also providing private space for each of us too. This is our third time staying at Robin's home and we are already planning for our next girls' weekend here later this fall!!
