This place was amazing especially if you want to relax and enjoy the peaceful quietness of the Sandhills. Would definitely recommend.

Me and 5 buddies enjoyed our stay here visiting as non residents for turkey season. We have nothing but good things to say about our stay and our host. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it to anyone going to the area.

Steve’s place was amazing! He had every thing you needed, and then some! A well supplied kitchen, unique gadgets and extras in the house and back yard. He was so quick to respond when asked and was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the hot tub! It was a fun trip into the Sandhills!

Second stay with Kristi and it has become a staple of my trips to western Nebraska, cannot wait to be back.

Wanda and Mike went above and beyond to make my time with them special, and they have to be the kindest, most welcoming hosts out there! It was great to share conversations and laughs with them over dinner and breakfast (both wonderfully prepared by Wanda), and it was so fun to have the chance to feed their cows out in the field. I stopped in Nebraska as part of a longer road trip, but getting to meet them would have made the trip worth it alone. The bedroom and bathroom were also spacious, clean, and comfortable, and Wanda gave great, detailed directions to make arrival, check-in, and parking super easy. Would definitely recommend a stay!

This was the perfect place for my family to stay. Wonderfully furnished with two bedrooms and a very nice Murphy bed. The kitchen had everything a regular home has, with many condiments in the house. My family was very happy.

The main thing we loved was talking with Walt and Marilyn about their lives and livelihood in the Sandhills. They made us feel like guests of the family. Marilyn put out a spread for meals the likes of which I had not seen since my Kentucky childhood deep in the last century. We were surprised by the expansive interior spaces at Uncle Buck's loaded with local lore, and by the beautiful North Loup River running clear next to the place. We would like to go back and try tubing next time.

Marilyn's place is a great lodge with a huge dinning, bar and rooming capacity. While it was large it had a feeling of home. We stayed in the off-season (February) and enjoyed a peaceful time and got to know Marilyn and her husband. They are very nice hosts and everything was very good-great about the stay. We were able to use the kitchen to cook dinner and breakfast. We even purchased frozen steaks and ground beef from her daughter's ranch (a hormone and chemical-free ranch operation). She delivered the meat to us--how cool. This is definitely a place to stay at if you are passing through the area or want a comfortable stay.
