A lovely place on the river Drava with a mix of traditional and modern cuisine. Most suitable for meat or fish eaters but with good vegetarian options as well.

Arguably the best restaurant in Ptuj, the 'Angler Inn' faces the river, with an enormous terrace, and the speciality here is – not surprisingly – fish, especially trout and pike-perch in their various modes of preparation. The mushroom soup served in a bread-loaf bowl is exceptional. There’s live Slovenian music some nights.
