Apartment vacation rentals in Tekapo

We came at the winter so we had a different taste of Tekapo but would love to stay at the place back in the summer!

We had a beautiful stay in Otematata, very peaceful and clean - exactly as described in the listing! Nice touches too; a selection of teas, plenty of extra blankets, and a well equipped kitchen. This place is such great value, and I’d love to come back! Thanks Robyn and Ross :)

Convenient location, flexible check in and check out time, great views from the house.

We had an absolutely amazing stay! The place itself was spacious, beautifully set up, and had all the amenities we needed — and more. It felt like a home away from home. On our first night, we experienced a snowstorm, and we were so grateful that the heating worked perfectly. A special highlight for my kids was the log burner — it was their first time seeing one, and they loved the cozy experience! Having a garage was a huge bonus — we didn’t have to worry about digging out our rental car the next morning. And the view from the balcony of the lake was stunning, especially with everything covered in snow. What made it even more special was the large open space at the back where our kids had the best time playing in the snow. It was such a joy to watch. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay — everything was perfect! Would highly recommend and would love to come back someday.

We enjoyed our stay at Twizel with Beatrix. The setting was lovely and the accommodation was comfortable.

A lovely, peaceful little stay! Perfect little home away from home while we were traveling. The owner was kind enough to let our dog have a run in the paddock which was wonderful. And the owner's two dogs, Blue and Rocket were absolute sweeties. Will definitely stay again if we are passing through!

Alhena and her amazing property in Caroline Bay was absolutely amazing. The aesthetics of this place is just Devine, it is such a beautifully presented place to stay. And also so practical for a family to use (we have two children under three). It was spacious, great location. We had a wonderful welcome from the owners upon arrival. A lovely guide book of the area which for food especially we really appreciated. For someone who has never been to Timaru this has definitely made our stay even better. Also such an amazing view from the lounge room. Wish I could take some of the furniture home with me 🥰

We absolutely loved our time in Tekapo at Lisa’s AirBnb! Lisa is an incredible host, provided us with so many local recommendations and got the hot tub ready for us every night, but always gave us privacy once it was ready. The hot tub was so blissful and was incredible for star gazing! We weren’t at the Airbnb much, other than for using the hot tub and sleeping so the size of it didn’t really bother us, but a heads up for others that it is quite small inside and was pretty tight for us as we both had large suitcases. I wouldn’t let the size of the Airbnb put you off though, as it’s a great Airbnb!

3 bathrooms are very good for big family. The place is quiet and with nice view. We can watch stars out of the house

We had a perfect night away, the apartment is perfect in every way. Warm, cosy and we felt at home. Really beautifully decorated and everything we needed. Thank you for a great stay, I’m sure we will be back.

cairnsmore apartment was a brilliant little place to stay, it had everything you could need for a break at tekapo.walind distance to the shops and restaurants, very peaceful area and beautiful scenery, lake tekapo homes were very easy to deal with and helpful when needed .we will definitely book here when we return to tekapo in fact it could be our regular little get away

This little cottage is such a fantastic place to stay. Rachel is a great host and we definitely loved the little snack shelf on arrival. We had such a cozy stay here, and would happily come back in future that's for sure.

Beautiful location and lovely view. Loved the way this place has been designed, it’s very thoughtful and feels very homely. Only drawback is the construction of another place just next to it but otherwise a very memorable stay.

Staying at Hayley’s is the best thing you can do! Such a lovely renovation of an amazing space. Comfy beds, great shower and spa bath welcome after a long ride on motor bikes. Hayley makes you welcome and has great recommendations , eat at @ustin92 (Austin92) great food and service. Great breakfast included

I need to get the host's consent before booking. Before booking, I sent a message to the host that my wife and I are taking my mother and daughter to the South Island of New Zealand. I booked and paid only after the host agreed. Because this is the first time we have booked a room through the Airbnb App in New Zealand, we used to stay in a hotel, and I didn't notice that the number of guests in the system was 1 when using the App, I neglected to change it, and the host sent me a message on the day of check-in, I found out, I thought I told the host that I had sent a message to confirm that we were staying for 4 people around the island before booking, so it was resolved, I don't know that I have to pay an additional 35 US dollars, I will be more cautious when using the App in the future. Leanne's house is comfortable, clean, quiet, and convenient to Cook Mountain. Recommended for travelers who need to stay here😊

We had a great stay at this lovely property! It was easy to find, with clear check-in instructions that made our arrival seamless. The space was immaculate — everything from the kitchen to the furniture and linen was pristine, and the bathroom was squeaky clean. Twizel has its own quiet charm, and it was an easy, scenic drive to both Lake Tekapo and Mount Cook, making it a perfect base for our adventures. The highlight was stepping into the backyard at night and being greeted by a sky full of stars. I'd spend my evenings admiring the Milky Way — an experience I won’t soon forget. This place was the perfect mix of comfort, cleanliness, and natural beauty. Highly recommended.

Teresa’s place is lovely to stay in, it’s exactly like the photos a nice getaway to enjoy Fairlie and the nearby towns would definitely stay here again!

Great wee place for a weekend away with friends. Very well appointed apartment. The road noise wasn’t a problem for us. Homely and comfortable with a lovely terrace area which would be nice to use on a sunny day.

Olive and Pam are so kind. They waited for us till midnight. The room is very clean. Beds and quilts are all comfi. We refer to our friens and stay again for sure next time we come to South Island.
