Old British House - Garden view cottage.

We booked Harshit’s place for 2 nights on New years. I did the booking very hastily, just going by the reviews. But after visiting the place, i can say that it surpassed all of our expectations. 2 days at Old British house turned out be just the kind of escape we had been looking for. We were mesmerised by the old, rustic charm of this place and how well it is preserved over generations. Rooms were spacious with artfully decorated corners, clean beddings and neat bathroom. This was more like a bonding vacation for the kids ( 4 year old & 6 year old) who were meeting after a year. And at Old British house we didn’t had to take any extra effort to keep them busy. They enjoyed early morning encounters with monkeys, spotted new birds, climbed mango tress and ran around the spacious lawn. Bon fires & start gazing at night were great too. A very special mention to mr. Raj for accommodating all of our requests. Thank you Sehgal family for a memorable stay. Looking forward to visit again.

Hitesh is a great host.. her personally takes care of his guests.. he is very helpful.. the location is right next to the Phata helipad so is best for guests who have helicopter booking.. the view is amazing..their food is also nice.. I would strongly recommend their place for stay.

I recently stayed at Checkmate in Mussoorie, and it was a wonderful experience overall. The property is beautiful and has a very relaxing ambience—perfect for a peaceful getaway in the hills. One of the highlights of the stay was the food, which was absolutely delicious and exceeded expectations. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, everything was fresh, well-prepared, and flavorful. The staff deserves a special mention—they were extremely helpful, polite, and supportive throughout the stay, making sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a serene retreat with great food and warm hospitality.

This secluded nature retreat was the perfect escape from city life! The fresh air, lush greenery, and peaceful ambiance made it a truly relaxing stay. We stayed in the treehouse, which had a private balcony and beautiful views of the surrounding fields and trees. The mornings were especially serene with birds chirping all around. Food was delicious The property was spacious, aesthetic, and pet-friendly. Our dog loved it, and the host’s dog, Duggu, had a calm, friendly energy. Even the neighboring dogs were playful and welcoming. The host was kind and helpful, and the food was fantastic, especially the chicken and roti. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic, and pet-friendly getaway in Dehradun, this is a must-visit!

Our first visit to Mussoorie/Landour was made truly memorable by being based at Annfield Cottage. The room was spacious, beautifully designed & equipped and spotlessly clean, our hosts and their staff looked after our every need, advising on places to visit, helping with taxis etc. And a special mention for the food which was delicious - especially the evening meals. Highly recommended!

Sneha was one of the most polite and humble hosts i met on airbnb. Her communication was very clear and helping. The listing was magical right in front of the Ganges. There are a few ghats and temples within 100 mtrs. Squeaky- clean washrooms and rooms, spotless linens and towels. Very elegant interiors, all new ACs and other amenities. Try to book the ganges facing rooms with balcony.

Easily Accessible by car and bike both. Situated in a very peaceful surrounding with a wonderful view from the room. Checkin was really smooth and the housekeeping and owner is very friendly and helpful. Chef offers daily new special menu and the food is tasty plus you can get food ordered from the menu as well. It's easy on the pockets. Room is exactly the same as posted on the portal and the cleanliness is top notch. Directions to reach the place is exactly mentioned and can be followed very easily. Wifi is available with good strength plus the cellular connectivity is good. Housekeeping even helped us with moving our luggage to cab as it's a bit of climb. Running hot water and electricity is never a challenge. A perfect 5/5 for this place and looking forward for future visits.
