Barn vacation rentals in Tasmania

This is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in on our annual derby trip. Good bike storage, wash down area and plenty of space.

We had an absolutely lovely stay in our loft. We couldn’t have hoped for a more comfortable and relaxing space to spend a couple of nights. The accommodation was superb and the gardens are absolutely gorgeous!

Beautifully presented, well thought out with everything you needed and a lovely touch of homemade bread on arrival. We were looking for somewhere to relax after the 3 Capes Trek and certainly found it. Easy walk into Richmond and ample space around the farmland to stretch your legs.

We loved our stay at the barn! An amazing renovation to a historic barn. So much attention to detail. Location also great, super central and walkable. Also very handy having a parking space. Highly recommend!

Serene environment, perfect for two couples or a family.

Angela and Clive’s place was absolutely beautiful—spacious, peaceful, and the perfect relaxing getaway. It’s easily the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. The property has a rich sense of history, and we felt lucky to experience it firsthand. One of the true highlights was the garden—it was stunning, and we enjoyed picking and eating fresh apples right from the trees. It really added a magical touch to our stay. Angela and Clive were wonderful hosts: warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind people. They took the time to show us around their amazing garden, which made us feel even more at home. If you’re looking for a nature-filled retreat with plenty of space—especially when traveling with family—this is the place. We can’t recommend it enough.

Quite possibly the best air BNB in Australia. Awesome accommodation with all those little things we may need. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful dog-safe, fully fenced garden with a deck overlooking to watch puppy playing. Garden is private and not overlooked by neighbours. Warm and cosy with reverse cycle heating and gas heaters, even on a cold Tassie night. Peaceful with no traffic noise as it is on a residential street, unlike many places that are at the edge of a highway or rail line. Lockable gates for added security.

Beautiful cozy spot right near the Richmond town centre. Super sweet sheep dogs also said hi which was a nice addition! Also appreciated the sheep who came up for a scratch. Would stay again!

Isabeau is a lovely accommodating host who's there to help but keeps well away when home so it also felt very private. The Barn is comfortable and clean and was generously stocked with bread, butter, milk, cereals, sweet treats and much more. Highly recommended this beautiful place and beautiful surroundings beaches.

We had the most amazing and peaceful time at Aquila Barn. Was so good to go out and just relax in this incredible space! Would 100% recommend to anyone

Amazing place! This place is a destination itself. Angela is a great host. Although we didn't get a chance to meet, communication is very prompt and she goes above and beyond to make your stay an experience. The view is magnificent and I really wish we could stay longer.

What a beautiful place! Having a coffee on the back deck swing overlooking the hillside with the horses next door was so relaxing and simply stunning. Place was clean, easy to find, accessible, furnished and styled beautifully, well maintained and basically everything needed available. Felt like home away from home. Perfect spot to relax and rewind.

Thanks for a great stay. Loved every moment, especially feeding the animals each day. The kids are certainly part of Thor's (the bull) #1 fan club. Any questions we answered promptly, and a great balance of offering help and leaving us free way struck.

We love the peace and quiet of the country, nature and animals...this is what we experienced at Jodies. We also appreciated the freedom to explore the property. Jodie is friendly and very communicative. The cabin was immaculately clean.
