In a Faluröd log cabin on a farm, you will have the opportunity to experience the best Dalarna can offer. In the heart of Siljansnäs you will find this small farm cottage with room for three people. The cottage was renovated 2023, the bathroom 2018. Within walking distance there is a kiosk and grocery store as well as a little further up the village there is a cafe, hotel and mini golf. 200 meters from the front door is Byrviken, an excellent swimming area. Within a 20 minute drive there is also Tegera Arena, Granberget's ski slope and cross-country skiing.

The accommodation is a separate guest part of the house with own entrance. It consists of one bedroom with a double bed and one large living room with a bunk bed, kitchen area and seating area. The bathroom has a toilet, a shower and a washing machine. A large terrace facing the lake, with a seat under a pergola, and guests have their own disposal over the entire terrace. Possibility to borrow rowboat and life jackets. Towels and beds are not not, but are available to rent for SEK 150/set. Cleaning not included in the listing.

On the lower floor a very small kitchen as well as dining area with room for four and a fireplace. On the upper floor there are two walled single beds as well as a 140 cm wide sofa bed. It is about 5 km to Tällberg and 7 km to Leksand. There is space to park a car next to the shelter in the yard. Shower and toilet have a separate entrance downstairs. Cleaning is not included.

Irene was very nice and helpful . Was very nice to find a house warm and with welcoming lights inside ! Inside everything was clean and we found kitchen full equipped. Place is very beautiful, close to the lake . Thank you very much for hosting us !

Sunnanäng is a great place to stay. Close to Leksand, Tällberg or the waterland. At Karin and Joel's, you live undisturbed. Good parking. Netflix and Viaplay to entertain yourself with if you feel like it. Sheep walking in the pasture next door, cows grazing further away. Swimming area just minutes away. Very nice host couple.

We spent a week at this lovely cottage. It's a "enter and feel at home" kind of place. Small, but very bright, modern, with everything you need. Sitting on the veranda, we were visited by squirrels and deer, so it's fair to say that it is a quiet place with a lot of nature on your front door :) Jenny was super friendly and answered quickly. Lake Siljan is very close by, so it was perfect for hiking in the region, too. We can highly recommend Jennys cottage.

Typical Swedish cottage close to lake, big garden

We stayed 5 days in February in this lovely old house. The pictures and descriptions are accurate and Bertrand was very friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful and the house closely situated to the lake Siljan and the small ski resort Granberget. I could imagine that if it is -20C it could get at bit cold with the portable heaters but that is an unlikely scenario. We had a great stay overall and were sad to leave after our short visit.
