The Shelter

With wooden interior and carpeted floors with free standing fireplace, our accomodation is both spacious yet cosy. The master bedroom has a cabin feel to it with a comfy bed and views out onto farmland. The Loft is a spacious cosy area with low ceilings which the teenagers will love but tall people may not enjoy it as it's only about 1.75 cm at the highest point . large couches for watching netflix or relaxing on the deck. we are not set up for young children and think it's best suited to 8+ age

Te Awa Cottage Set on 30 Acre Organic Farm

Mahoetahi Farm is a 30 acres organic farm that Greg & I have retired to. Te Awa cottage is modern, light and airy has a high stud & 2 well sized bedrooms with a comfortable Ikea Sofa bed in the lounge. There is spacious dining inside & out. Kitchen/bathroom a well equipped clean environment. Love to share flowers & produce from the garden/farm when available. We love people coming to stay & sharing our knowledge of the area. Next door Te Maunga cottage sleeps 2-4. Come and explore Taranaki.

Mill House - Villa on Forgotten World Highway

This lovely villa was built in the early 1900’s by the McCluggage Family, who operated sawmills in the area. Their endeavors included the construction of a tunnel, in 1924, at the rear of the property to provide access to timber on the Whangamomona Saddle where it still remains today. We are situated on the main highway but far enough to not hear traffic. Great location for kids to run around.
