magnificent riad in the heart of Tangiers

OliverRating, 5 stars5 months ago
The contact with Catherine and David (her husband who helped organize) was very good and very accommodating. We were sent exact instructions on how to get to the place! As a small tip: Google Maps with a pin needle in the accommodation also shows you the way! ;) Fatima greeted us on the outskirts and showed us the place. She also cooked for us on the first day, and it was really wonderful and so delicious! The place is really huge and invites you to linger! Beautiful views of the harbor, lighthouse and old town below! With a lot of love for detail, beautiful colors and a really extravagant chandelier. But I have a tip for your stay: Don't get into a tea in the coffee Makina with Abduhl Rahim, his life motto is "speak honest, speak truth," but he is still very shady! Watch out!

DAR TUS, a magnificent family riad, Tangier

CarolineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Everything was absolutely perfect! As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Marie, an extraordinary host who made our stay even more enjoyable thanks to her valuable advice and help in organizing our weekend. The Riad is a real gem in the heart of the Tangier medina. The decor is refined, thought out to the smallest detail, creating an elegant and authentic atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, impeccably clean and comfortable, while the common areas invite relaxation and friendly moments with friends. It feels like home! The location is ideal for strolling through the medina and soaking up the local culture. The services offered are also a real plus: delicious evening meals, typical breakfasts, taxi organization… Everything is done to make you feel pampered from start to finish. We leave with wonderful memories and the desire to come back soon!

Maa'Zhar, house in Tangier Medina

ChahrazadRating, 5 stars8 months ago
A very traditional Moroccan house. We loved the atmosphere. Enough room with enough space. Very nice contact and loving explanations. It was very clean. The beds were comfortable. The climate was very pleasant- you don't need AC. However, getting there is a bit complicated. We had a lot of luggage, which was not an advantage in terms of location in the old town. The recommended way to start from the Kasbah was very exhausting for us personally. We quickly found a much easier path directly to Bab El Marsa, which is much more pleasant to walk. Important to guard are especially the many and steep stairs in the house. Not recommended for children and seniors. Can come to dangerous situations very quickly. There were always cats on the doorstep and you had to be careful that no cats come into the house (terrace). Short power outage when turning on the washing machine and other appliances
A cozy bedroom is pictured with a spacious bed adorned with colorful pillows. A small round table sits next to the bed, and a potted plant adds a touch of greenery. The checkered floor and soft textile accents create a calming space.

Very good place and hosts ! All was wonderful on heart of medina of Tanger ! Big and good recommandations !
A quaint lounge area is presented with two wooden chairs and a low table, situated beneath intricately designed arches. The warm glow from hanging lanterns creates a serene atmosphere, while a decorative fireplace adds charm to the historic space.

RIAD AROUS CHAMEL DU 18° Siecle

StefanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our stay at this riad was simply great! Already at the time of booking, we had great communication with the host, who was always helpful and open to all our questions. The on-site staff was extremely friendly and made our stay particularly pleasant. We were allowed to safely store our luggage after check-out and also use the comfortable seating on site to work a little more, which really made the day easier. A special highlight was the breakfast served every morning on the beautiful roof terrace. The Moroccan breakfast was not only typical, but also incredibly delicious – especially the freshly squeezed orange juice was a treat! It was the perfect start to the day, with a great view of the city. The beds were very comfortable, and even if, as in many riads, the walls are a bit thin, for us that is simply part of the authentic experience.

Exceptional riad with andalusian garden at Marshan

NancyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Amal’s riad is truly spectacular- it is a beautiful home, thoughtfully decorated and with the most tranquil garden imaginable. Amal is responsive and friendly, and the location was perfect - quick to walk to the Medina but much quieter than staying within the Medina itself. The rooftop terrace is a great place to catch the sun in the evenings too. Can’t recommend enough!

A serene courtyard features a green wicker table surrounded by matching chairs. Arched doorways with shutters open into a brightly lit space, while potted plants add touches of greenery along the tiled floor. The intricate design of the tiles contrasts with the surrounding white walls.

Gavin Houghton's Tangier house LaDi Dar

OtavioRating, 5 stars1 month ago
La Di Dar has loads of charm and carachter, and is ideally located by the Kasbah door, with wonderful views of the Medina and the Strait of Gibraltar from its terrace. A plus are Hassania and Idriss, the housekeepers. The first cooks delicious home made Marrocan dishes (such as tagines, couscous), can prepare breakfast, all at a very reasonable price for the quality of what is served. The best food in town, as I told her. ;) Idriss is very resourceful and eager to help. Can arrange a driver to take you anywhere, get you wood for the fireplace etc and fixed in record time minor maintenance issues. We had the most wonderful time. Highly recommended.

Nebta's Lush Green Suite

AlexaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We had a great stay at Nebta in Tangier! The check in was very flexible and we were able to get our room in the morning. The riad was peaceful and in a convenient location for both exploring the Medina and getting taxis at the port. The breakfast was delicious and the service was top tier. The room was clean and had a dehumidifier, but there was a damp smell. Great spot for a couple, would recommend to anyone visiting Tangier!

Bakkali Nadi House

MisbahRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Lovely place, nice and secluded. Lots of ants but this could be a summer problem. Pool was nice. The tagines were great, although wait for food was long even when pre-ordered. However the tagines were worth the wait! Simple but good breakfast. Lovely tea and coffee. Friendly staff and family. The place is a lovely retreat in nature, while being about an hour from many places of interest - Ancient Lixus, Larache, Asillah, Tétouan and beaches around. Great base to come back to after day of sight seeing, to refreshing pool and home cooked food!

Nebta's Rustic Grey Suite

MirandaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Clean, modern, comfortable, botique, and local - this is truly a hidden gem of the Kasbah! The restore house is gorgeous with modern but locally-inspired decor, lots of greenery, and wonderful terraces. The room was comfortable, and the bathroom luxurious. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had, and we enjoyed lunch at the restaurant as well. I cannot say enough positive about our experience here. The staff is friendly and speak half a dozen languages. The only drawback is that the music can be a bit loud at night - we went to bed early around nine each evening. However, we brought ear plugs and had no trouble sleeping. It’s only a matter of time before this gets profiled in Tatler or another travel publication and becomes wildly popular, so book now while you still can :-)
