New: Cantick Head Lighthouse Cottage

MeredithRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I'm finding it difficult to put into words what being a guest at Cantick Head was like. Magical, inspiring, cozy, peaceful, safe. The cottage is beyond charming. It was tastefully decorated with little bits of history scattered about. It was absolutely spotless clean with comfortable beds and linens that smelled heavenly especially after a day of hiking the nearby trails. A nature and animal lovers paradise. Alan and his family go above and beyond to ensure you are happy. I found the experience to be quite moving and was saddened to leave. Alan is an example of what an outstanding Airbnb operator is and Cantick Head is a top notch accommodation. The price was very reasonable for the experience of being at Cantick Head. Overall, 11 out 10!

West Lodge, Balblair Estate, Highland

ChristopherRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The Lodge more than met our needs as a base to explore the northern highlands. The many creature comforts helped to make us feel truly at home. The weather was so kind for the time of year allowing us to make full use of the hottub at the end of long days exploring. Our children couldn't get up early enough to "help" feed the neighbouring Highland Coos. We can't wait to come back next year to see how much they have grown.
The image displays a spacious outdoor area surrounded by lush greenery, featuring a charming wooden Bothy. A decorated decking area includes seating, alongside a small BBQ setup, with a scenic view of the coastline and distant hills under a clear blue sky.

Osprey Luxury Lodge With Hot Tub

CarolineRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Probably the best Christmas we have had for a while. All the stress taken out of it by the hosts, the house was beautifully decorated for the season, two wrapped presents and a hamper of goodies. We felt thoroughly spoilt! The cabin is exquisite and we would love to come back. It was wonderful for the dogs too, completely fenced in around the cabin so no fears of escapees! We loved everything about it!!

Everything was just so lovely! The place was clean, tidy and just so welcoming with a lot of lights. There was even a fire place in the living room. Some small wellcoming gifts like easter chocolate (because it was easter sunday). The place was very cozy I can only recommend it. Would stop by any time again as we felt at home. Sadly we only stayed for the night. Also great host, great communication, great instructions. Just perfect :)

NC500 Cosy Cottage in the Highlands

NickyRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Had a warm and cosy stay at the cottage, which was lovely and clean, and in a stunning area. Plenty of parking space. Plenty of wood given to last the week. Neighbours friendly. We were worried about the road being so close once we got there, but with the cottage being low in the hillside, the sound of the road traffic went over the roof, so it was nice and peaceful. A really lovely village and highly recommend the tearoom at Elphin for food and drinks. We even got to see the northern lights and lots of shooting stars! A great stay!

The cottage is tiny, comfy, well equipped and peaceful. I enjoyed my stay here very much! Thank you Liz!

The Kylesku Kabin- luxurious wilderness

NicolaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our family of four, really enjoyed our stay here. It's in a great location with spectacular views. It's spacious but cosy, uncluttered and very well equipped. We found plenty to do in the area, and highlights were the Little Assynt Loop starting from the tree nursery, Achmelvich Beach, Kylesku boat trip and the Crofter's Kitchen in Scourie. We enjoyed the steam room, spa bath, and relaxing in front of the woodburning stove. Lis was friendly and helpful, and having her next door was a reassuring bonus. Our only problem was that 3 nights weren't enough!

Charming cottage in stunning landscape

GinaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The most perfect retreat in the very North West of Scotland. We stayed here for 3 nights over Easter weekend and we didn't want to leave. This really felt like a home from home, we settled in immediately! This isn't your usual soulless holiday let, but rather a well loved and treasured family holiday home. The local community is great with a spar near by as well as a seafood shack within easy driving distance. Warm, welcoming with views you could stare at for hours!

Cosy croft cottage on NC500, Sutherland

StephanieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We really enjoyed our stay and the house had everything we needed. We felt very welcome with the greeting by Katie upon arrival and appreciated all the little things around the house (wood ready for the oven, milk in the fridge, etc.). The location is as described, super quiet, but only a quick 10 mins to Golspie or Dornach. Exactly what we were looking for. We had a perfect time :)

The perfect base for our stay. Beautiful safe beach for swimming, lovely walks in both directions from Clachtoll. The house was warm and cosy, clean and well equipped. Plenty of information in the house on the local area. Assynt is stunning and it’s a beautiful drive north if you fancy exploring even further up the coast. Lynn was brilliant, the perfect host.

The Old Smiddy is definitely one of the nicest Airbnbs we have seen so far. Lots of space. Cosy rooms and a big kitchen. And little things as the Dutch flag on the counter and delicious cookies make you feel very welcome. Deborah is also very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

Mackenzie Cottage in Oldshoremore

GerryRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The cottage is fabulous, tastefully renovated and wonderfully equipped. The underfloor heating meant we were toasty all the time and we had the option of the wood burning stove in the living room to add extra warmth in the evening as well as a gorgeous highland ambience. The bed was very comfortable and lovely views from the windows. Andy & Angela are fabulous hosts who obviously care deeply about the quality of their guests’ stay with them. We were unlucky enough to have a car issue whilst in the area and Andy & Angela went above-and-beyond to assist us in getting it resolved quickly and with minimum drama - we are eternally grateful to them for being so kind and helpful. We love the area and the scenery - the next time we’re back we will only stay here 😀😀😀
