Experience Japanese Living with Tatami and Engawa

JaegonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I am very satisfied to be able to stay in a traditional Japanese house. The manager spoke Korean well, so there was no problem communicating. There are restaurants within walking distance and there is a hypermarket It was convenient My elderly parents were very satisfied with the accommodation, so I felt the reward of booking it after a hard search. It's a long way from the city center, so I highly recommend renting a car. There's also a parking lot behind the house.

Cozy hostel mixed dorm, near Hakata & free wifi

Not bad. It's a bit of a distance, and it's about the same distance as walking to the bus. Cleanliness depends on the person in the same room.... It was a little difficult because I was the only Westerner.

Soba noodle Homestay, feel Japanese rural life

BrianaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was a fantastic stay. We were folded right in with the family, which was very fun. The food was excellent; we enjoyed the demonstration of making our own soba. Any time we needed anything, Karin was so responsive and helpful. We especially appreciate her ability to speak English, which made everything so easy for us. Highly recommended!

2min->JRShimonoseki Sta/Single/NoSmoke/NoMeal

It was my first experience in Shimonoseki and I absolutely loved my time at the Wing Hotel! It was so close (within walking distance) to the train station and shopping malls. When I arrived, the staff were so kind and accommodating. There were many great amenities (i.e. in-house restaurant) and free-to-use products on the lobby floor. There was a great housekeeping service that left towels each night. There was even scheduled cleanings, but I didn't need them because I kept the hotel unit clean. The bedroom and bathroom were both quite clean, and I got a great view of the city. To anyone traveling here, I highly recommend this wonderful spot!

We loved our stay and having chance to chat with Akihiro. It felt like the good old days of Airbnb where you can interact with hosts and create memorable interactions. Really hope to visit again.

Excellent access to Hakata station! You can relax and stay in a quiet residential neighborhood!

The owners are the most welcoming and kind people I've met on Airbnb. They do everything to make us comfortable, everything is indicated for the stay to go very well. The common areas are clean, tidy and spacious. Communication has been great from booking to checkout. The lady is extraordinary, almost a mother to me for my first days in Japan, all her attentions touched me a lot. And their dog is adorable ☺️ I would 100% recommend it for a stay in Fukuoka.

[female only] Nostime lodge dormitory (2 people) A

The host was kind, and the accommodation was comfortable and nice. I also went to the ramen place that the host's husband runs, and it was delicious! However, there are uphill roads and stairs on the way, so it may be a little difficult for those with heavy luggage. Except for that part, it was a very satisfying accommodation!
