Having lived here for 50 years, the trees in the yard have grown large and envelop the house that was rebuilt 20 years ago. When the morning sun rises, the birds begin to chirp, the crickets begin to sing, and shadows are cast on the wet edges. When the sun sets, the sky is full of stars, and on moonlit nights, you can see the shadow of the Buddhist priest. You'll be able to slowly feel the time change throughout the day. There is a barrel sauna in the corner of the private garden. Enjoy the outdoors in the garden at your leisure. Breakfast is served with fresh local ingredients. Dinner is optional. The 130-year-old Villa Kaede, originally built as a guest house by a founder of Arita Bank, has been beautifully renovated. Visitors can enjoy a garden that showcases the changing seasons. The villa also serves as a convenient base for day trips to places like Nagasaki City, Unzen, Ureshino, Sasebo, Hirado, and Huis Ten Bosch.
