Tranquil Mountain Getaway | Breathtaking Scenery

KumaranRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had an unreal time staying here! Genuinely couldn’t recommend it more if you’re thinking of booking. Anju and her family were lovely, super helpful with loads of suggestions for things to do and even held onto our bags the whole next day for us so that we could go out on a hike without lugging them around! They also run a lovely little cafe just across from the train station, perfect for grabbing a coffee or bite before heading off for a hike or whatever you’re up to (and you get a free coffee if you’re staying in the Airbnb, which is a nice touch) They’re doing a brilliant job with the place, the vibe in the cafe is deadly and the accommodation itself is massive! There were only three of us but the place could easily fit more, and the kitchen’s fully kitted out if you want to cook. The local shop also has a really good range of items, the fresh meats are great!

Had an amazing time there. The location was very well preserved, and well maintained. You feel though you are stepping into a previous century when you enter the ground. We got a comfortable stay. And the owner was very friendly and helpful. Nearby town, there’s a little Izakaya called Imada which we recommend to visit.

A 100-year-old storehouse-style inn with a view of the two Alps/Ina Valley, Nagano Prefecture/Entire storehouse rental "Harawatari"

大江Rating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The check-in instructions were very polite, and I was grateful for the quick response. The inn was a very relaxing space surrounded by special furniture. The air I breathed in the morning in the veranda garden was very pleasant. It was a place I would definitely like to stay again!

A leisurely stay at a private home The storehouse has been renovated and the water area has been expanded. This is a cute inn limited to one group per day, run by an Ichida persimmon farmer.

This is the second time I've used it.It was close to the smart interchange on the Chuo Expressway, and there was a delicious soba shop on the premises, and I remembered that the room was very comfortable, so I stayed again. When I'm tired from a long drive, I'm really grateful to be able to stay put and enjoy some delicious soba noodles with a beer. We'd love to stay again if we get the chance.

Big house and large grounds to play Satoyama [old house hana]

LaurenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I stayed here for the firefly festival in Tatsuno and really loved it! The house is a nice mix of Japanese and Western style. It also smelled really good 😍! It’s very big and clean. The kitchen had everything I needed. 🍽️ It’s also super dog-friendly 🐕, which I really appreciated. Thank you so much! My big young Irish setter was comfortable in a spacious dog pen they provide with many blankets and such. I’d love to stay here again. Highly recommend!

[Food Matters] 100-year-old old house "Farmhouse Higashi"

RobertRating, 5 stars1 month ago
One of the best places we have stayed in during our current trip in Aichi. Hiroaki is a hunter and a great chef. His meals were all creatively prepared with deer meat prepared in different ways. He used all local ingredients, with most from his own vegetable gardens and bamboo grove! Hiroaki showed us that country living can be great and enjoyable!

Japan's best starry sky, Achi village, 30 minutes to Tsumago, 1 group only (max 9 people), BBQ terrace, 1.5 hours from Nagoya

陽菜Rating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I had a friend with a birthday on the day, and when I told them I wanted to celebrate as a surprise, they kept the cake for me and cooled it.Not only that, but they also served local apple juice for the celebration for the number of people. Also, there was a small beehive in front of the terrace, but when I sent a message about it, they came right away and took care of it.The host was very kind and friendly, giving us local recommendations for sightseeing spots and preparing charcoal for the BBQ.The room was beautiful and well equipped with amenities, and we had a comfortable time. This time, the weather was bad and the starry sky was not visible, but I want to use it again.
