Family-friendly vacation rentals in Tailem Bend

Lovely character cottage set in beautiful grounds. Our dog was settled here. Heather meeting us and showing us around on arrival, plus the provisions left, were nice touches. It was good to be able to walk our dog (on the lead) in the gardens. Enjoyed being close to the town centre and historic High Street. Graham’s local knowledge was very useful.

This is a gorgeous property with a beautiful house. Amanda and Antony have done a superb job in decorating it and making it feel like home. The main lounge and bedroom is epic! So cosy and made for such a beautiful stay. The kitchen is really lovely, and very enjoyable to cook in. We had a great first night cooking pizzas and Amanda was very responsive to texts when I had questions about where things were. The spa was a great addition and we spent a few hrs in there on both days. For a wholesome getaway, I highly recommend staying here Thanks Amanda and Antony

Great accommodation in a beautiful historic town, town walkable. Excellent location for visiting hahndorf, mount barker, langhorne creek, goolwa and more. Host provided generous breakfast provisions for our stay.

We had a beautiful 2-night stay. The place was gorgeous and cosy. They gave us complimentary fresh eggs from their backyard chickens - they were delicious. Thank you for having us!

Peter's place was cosy, private and had more then enough amenities for what we needed for a weekend getaway. His listing advised us of plenty of recommendations to see and do, and was very prompt with communication during our time. The local Foodland is only 2 streets away and the main street was a very short 5 min drive. A very convenient location. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful location stunning views a great place to sit and relax. Kids had a ball with plenty to do. fishing swimming playing pool and if we owned a boat there was space for that too. We had a ball. The house itself felt very homely and we were provided with everything that we needed. Thanks again Sue

Her home is in a beautiful part of the Adelaide Hills and is very quiet and restful. Accommodations were top of the mark. She provided everything I needed to have a great vacation.

Such a beautiful property nestled in the hills, just what we were after

My wife & I had another great stay at this peaceful river shack on the banks of the River Murray. Georgina & Jane prepared the house to be comfortable and welcoming. From the moment arrived, we could feel the stresses of the workaday world recede. The welcome kit, with assorted dips, choccies, and wine, does help! The house is well kitted out. You can arrive with just your personal basics and still have a lovely time. The River Murray, on your doorstep, is the big drawcard. You can relax on a deck chair and watch the river roll by as it changes mood from one time to the next – from misty early mornings to bird life during the day, and on to the moon’s reflection at night. You also can enjoy these views from the private jetty from the backyard. The river traffic of water-skiing and jet-skis picks up on weekends. If you are into active river sports, there’s a boat ramp at nearby Sunnyside Reserve. All in all, a lovely river shack in a beautiful location. Thanks to Georgina & Jane!

Peter and Evy’s place was very well equipped. It had everything and heaps of crockery and cutlery, glassware etc. It had lots of space and things to do for 9 of us. It was easy to get to and close enough to walk into Mannum. It was really relaxing and the beds were really comfy and bathroom lovely clean. It was very modern they have considered everything. Especially loved the coffee options and ice machine. Thanks Peter and Evy for sharing your lovely home with us.

We had such a wonderful stay at Briony’s place. Thank you! The home was perfectly set up, with all the conveniences and felt very homely. We appreciated the sourdough, milk, and other staples available on arrival. We loved not having a tv and our family enjoyed playing lots of boards games that were available! Briony was happy up provide tips on the area, and checked in to see we were comfortable. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Loved our stay - perfect location with all the amenities we needed. The breakfast supply’s left for us was a lovely surprise as was the Port for after dinner. Heather was defiantly a Super Host. Would stay again.

A peaceful place close to attractions. Tania was a great and responsive host.

Like a home away from home with all the amenities you could wish for and more, eg functional kitchen with all appliances, fridge has an ice machine even! Huge bbq table outside and bbq if you need it. Bikes, well we didn't use them but what a great idea, they looked in great condition and with helmets also. The incline is a little steep but would only affect the elderly, under 65 yo and you should be fine. The bathroom was clean and modern, we only used the ensuite but it was immaculate. The bed was super comfy and the block out blinds work efectively. There is a split system in the master and also in the lounge kitchen living areas that is more than adequate. The TV even has guest Netflix as well as free to air channels and YouTube with the included WiFi. A complentary set of dips, crackers, cheeses, yogurt, milk, juice, muesli was a godsend after a long interstate drive and a warm welcome also. Very happy, would stay again!
